Looks like a meld between SFB and SFC versions of the ISC, and sort-of reminds me of Thu11's ISC ships too.  It looks really appealing.

Now that IS a very nice compliment to a fine model. If it ended up w/ Thulls textures you would have had me fooled!

Well done MajorRacal!

I like the ISC.  Not a lot of attention is given to them though.  I don’t see why not though, they are pretty much like the TMP version of the Dominion.

That is lookiing real nice.  I think a lot of people don't spend enough time on the SFB races like ISC, Hydran, Lyran and etc when producing models.  Heck, I would be content to see better looking/quality remakes of all the originals.  I am SO tired of FED, ROM, and KLING ships.

Someone should probably start a Remake/Upgrade group to upgrade all the other race models to better textures and poly count.

the basic shape of the hull could be used is the front end of a cardassian or the main body of a dominion vessel as well. The 3 pontoon shaped features wouldn't work, however.

I like the way that you've "squared off" the pontoons. Seems like the logical step from SFB/TOS to TMP. Like TOS to TMP nacelles on the Connie. Are the indented areas on the outside pontoons for glows?

At the moment, I'm working too hard to have any time to concentrate properly on modelling... I've been slogging to get the money together for my Advanced Practitioner Hypnotherapy training which begins in May this year (after that I'll be working to attain Master Practitioner level in NLP).  That's why my visits and work have been spurious and fleeting of late.

In the meantime, I have asked Fallen Warrior if the Outalancers can help and take over, so that she and some other WIPs can actually see the light of day sometime soon - fortunately, he has agreed to help [big thanks!]

I'm really pleased to see that my first ISC model has gone down well - there will be more to come, I'm just not sure when...

MajorRacal

PS - Rod, yeah, the little indents running along the inside of the outer pontoons are intended for glows...

Lil' bump for up-date...

kinda curious how this one is cumming along.

BTW...  someone requested my sketches on the ISC ship I had scheduled too !  I'm trying to have the preliminary sketches done this weekend.  I'll post it on another thread later.

But for now ..  I have GOT to see this one all painted and finished !

Wow, that really is a great looking ISC ship.  Stays true to the original feel of the SFB designs (one of the things I never did like about the stock SFC models).  Very nice, Major!

That is lookiing real nice.  I think a lot of people don't spend enough time on the SFB races like ISC, Hydran, Lyran and etc when producing models.  Heck, I would be content to see better looking/quality remakes of all the originals.  I am SO tired of FED, ROM, and KLING ships.

bbarr, there are a couple of model sites out there that have SFB designs.  The first is Fleetdock 13.  Check the "Archive 1" section.  Now, these models are several years old, and, while not quite 'fabulous', they are pretty good, they're lower-poly, and they are true to SFB.  I still use many of them.

The second site would be Desty Nova's.  His stuff is more recent, higher on the poly count, and his textures are very well done.  Of course, I talk him up since he did the Lyran NCF Slashing Star for me. :)

And why didn't anybody notify me that there are new ISC designs coming out?  (if you're wondering why the rant, check out my sig...)

That is an... (picks jaw up from floor...)  nice design.  This looks like it might become a competition between this and SFB-stock for my model folders.  Is there going to be a fleet of these in all sizes (as long as the DD stays with the pontoon concept vs. the cresent of Taldren's...)?

Count me among the downloaders when she comes out... :D

I'm working on a couple of other classes to join this one... but they're not quite ready yet (working away from home all the time at the moment slows my usual progress).

FW...?  Any momentum on those textures?

Thanks, MajorRacial! Looks like my ISC fleet is getting a major facelift.  ;D Just one question, er... two: I've never messed with a rar file type before. Do I need to purchase WinRAR? Can you provide the model folder in a zipped format?

Beautiful ship. Thanks!
