Dynaverse.Net Upgrades
« on: February 07, 2005, 09:50:36 am »
In our continuing effort to enhance and better server the SFC Community and our fan base, Dynaverse.Net has been upgrading and otherwise tweaking out our servers and systems over the last two weeks.

Here's what we're doing:

1. Re-allocating equipment to better server our functionality needs. More coming on the specifics of that.

2. Preparing to renumber. We're received our own IP Scope from ARIN, so we're preparing to renumber for that.

3. Brought up a new production server (for our NWN division, to run the persistant online world of AMIA)

4. Installed some more powerful and functional hardware (Cisco 1605 R for core routing, and a SonicWall Pro 200 Internet Security Appliance).

Please don't hesitate to let us know of any service interruptions or change in performance (good OR bad ;) ) regarding your experience here.

OKay, update:

During the transition of the D.Net webs to their new home, there was a couple issues.

I'd like to give a HUGE thanks to our web-master extrodinaire MrCue, who worked diligently to get them fixed, and fix them he DID... with no data loss.

AWESOME JOB.

Now, please continue to let us know if you think we're more reliable, or faster, slower whatever.
