"dynalink"  ;D lol....  stand by... looking up your router now...

This it?: http://www.dynalink.com.au/products/specs/rta300_specs.htm

Are you connected to it by USB or ethernet?

Do you have access to its configuration?

Do you have a copy of the user manual referred to in the install guide linked below?

looks like the router will support "virtual servers" Ack - port forwarding they mean, and it looks like it will not take a port range but only single values... SFC requires 2300-2400 and 47624, so unless it can take 101 single "virtual server" entries or will accept a range then you may be out of luck... though Dxport is potentially a solution for that.

rta3xx support page

RTA300 install guide

Check the "configuration-security-firewall" page on your router...

perhaps there is a DMZ function?

hmmm, can't find a link on their page for the RTA300 user manual but there is a link for the RTA230...

perhaps their support staff can tell you why the manual is unavailable (if you don't have it from the original packaging):

(short answer: RTFM!!!  ;D)

Oh dear... I suggest you read the manual completely, if you don't understand something look it up. Familiarise yourself with network structure.

Good that you're not using USB though!

Basically what you want to do is configure your lan statically and forward the appropriate ports to the client PC you want to play from (or put it in the DMZ).

If you're still stuck, post the manual and perhaps someone can walk you through it.

DMZ, just use a software firewall to keep the hackers out.
