I lost my CVDR and it was nowhere near any explosions.

what gives w/ me losing my ships like this.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Only AI were involved.

The dreaded hand of Bethke...
Has never really been explained as to why.
We had one of our player do it to him twice in one day...with a Capitol ship.
All you can do is try and alt out before reaching the de-briefing screen when that happens to keep your ship.
Of course, being that's what happened, you are clear to buy another.

Well, i was lucky enough to go back onto the server and buy another F-CVDR and FINALLY a Z-CVDm.

That's cool, but...
I see you're assigned a Fed CVD...the Z-CVDm isn't a restricted ship? Don't see any built by the Alliance...
If it's not a restricted ship, it sure should be...
If it has the letter "s" or "c" in front of it's ship designation, it's a restricted ship and has to be "built" before it can be assigned to you, sir.

he was assigned on eabout 10 days ago, just never shows up in the yards.

Ah, Ok, must of been buried way back in the thread and just didn't see it.
It's all good! 
I know how that feels, got some pilots been waiting for assigned ships still from 2 build rounds ago...
