It urks me that that guy had ruined and driven so many away, and by "that guy" I certainly don't mean Harry. This is a bad day for the online Trek gaming community, and a certain person is probably gaining a lot of pleasure from it.

Guys, lets try to make a positive difference. I believe us in the sfc3 community have been through and know what Victor is like. Poor Ann had to put up with him and Wo.. erm.. anyways. Lets try to make a POSITIVE difference and have some sort of letter campaign to get him to stick around. Whay say ye?

I hope that Harry changes his mind. This, of course, is exactly what Vic would like to see happen. It'd be a blow to the whole Trek gaming community. Nothing would please him more.

Doesn't Harry's e-mail have a "block" feature? Seems to me that would be a better answer.

Problem is Vic uses his website to wield the lies and propoganda that has caused this. Blocking emails doesn't stop this. We are talking lies that have the potential to impact Harry's career. Harry hangs with the community as part of his own desire to be as responsive to the communities needs and desires as possible, not because his job requires him to. But here we have Vic mailing Viacom with letters indicating Harry supports r8pe and such! This can have great personal consequences, regardless of the fact that the alligations are totally false.

I honestly like Trek but don't follow the general forums. I don't even know who Harry is. ITs never good though for people to have to step away because they are harrassed.

Harry is Harry Lang, Paramount/Viacom Studios employee in charge of gaming license (I think).. he took personal time to chat with different Trek communities, including here at Dynaverse.net, about upcoming games and kept communities in the loop of gaming things to come..

He posted shortly after this incident that he is not leaving, but he is cutting back on his visits for the time being (all Trek communties)
