Nice mesh. I like the overall shape of it. Particularly like the nacels.

Very nice design.  It incorporates design elements from various classes of ships, and does so very nicely.  What era do you plan to put this in?

I don't know...with the round saucer and the Excelsior-style design elements, you could say that it is a contemporary of the Excelsior-B design...perhaps even a competative design for the Excelsior-B contract...Starfleet ended up going with the Excelsior-B design that we have all seen, and this prototype vessel was the only one of it's kind built...in fact, if you wanted to add a little SFB flavor to it, you could say that Starfleet decided to have the vessel completed as a heavy fighter carrier, with six F-111's on semi-external links/pads, three to each side of the spine...

This reminds me more of a design between the 2360s and 2370s based on the Excelsior-class.  This could well be a second Excelsior that bears said name, but not necessarily first in her class or a refit.  I'm mostly basing this on the preservation of the Excelsior-class while beautifully-incorporating designs from other class of ships, if only one or two others though.  The nacelles are unique but you can say they're somewhat of an "upgrade" of nacelles from, say, the Cheyenne-class as I'm half-reminded of.  I'm also partially-reminded of the Akira-class's engines, albeit less Galaxy-class-ish and smaller.  I'd say it's probably a 2360s ship, if TNG-era.  Overall a nice design, and I think it has potential to be a TNG ship that can have a variant or two, like a carrier as suggested, for example.

So basically I'm expressing thoughts out loud whilst praising. *shrug* Good work.

Wow, good stuff.
Can I ask though are you planning to leave the saucer as is? would be nice to have it more rounded.

I like it :)

I'm curious, that depression on the dorsal drive hull, that for fitting some kind of mission specific module or?? What is the purpose of having it there, it is the only slightly odd thing about the ship.

Maybe a carrier deck? Maybe a carrier module or cargo module, or even a ship transport platform for ships that may be hull breached.

Jason Simpson's interpretation of the Wandumbu-class Starship (Shipschematics.net)

Just FYI. *shrug* In any case, I think when it's done, Tus's first Starfleet ship will be appealing to many.

meshing done (besides deflectors and unless i notice somthing glaringly obvious missing)  she is sitting right now a 6.8 k, should be able to drop her to 4k with out to much detail loss.  still not sure where she will fit in (i'm not good at the timeline thing) but i'm i'm still leaning toward tng/post tng(somwhere in there)
