ok, im having some serious problems. i cant play the game, it keeps messing up, and telling me that i dont have direct x installed, which i do. ive installed the newest version of 9 several times, restarted, and uninstalled and re-installed several times, this is getting quite bothersome. if anyone has any tips, that'd be great.

windows xp pro
Ti4200 128mb gfx card
1400 mhx athalon
256 ram

i shouldnt have a problem, especially since this is not the first time its been on my system. i have no clue, what should i do>?

you have sfc3, its a bug and you need the patch for the direct x patch, i have it on my pc.

not that i remember, anyway the patch will fix the basic bug of sfc3.

scan it for virus just in case.

i did a search for the file name, and found a place to download it. if it doesnt work, i'll give ya another mail to send it to.

did the find i virus?, weird it was scan before and no virus found, maybe becasue its a .exe

Wow, I totally forgot about that bug in SFC3. If I recall though, there is a DX fix, and then the full patch already has it in it, but you shouldn't try to use the DX fix on top of the patch because it will really screw it up, right?

To get the patch for SFC3 it is in the Announcement section of this board and if I recall direct X 9 doesn't work with your Video Card.You can try it out and see but I am pretty sure it doesn't.

Hotmail reported a zipped executable I tried to attach to an email as a virus (I know its virus free). This could be the end of hotmail for me..

Gotta love MSN. Anyone else here think Bill Gates should be put in a jail cell with Michael Jackson?

Also, commenting on the post about the beta patches having the DX fix already bundled, yes, you are correct, and yes, if you try and install the beta patch over the DX9 patch, your game will be incredibly screwed up. You won't even be able to play it.

As for this guy's graphics card not being able to handle DX9, I don't see why it can't. I had an old Riva TNT 2 Ultra for the longest time, and ran DX9 on it. It had 32 megs of ram onboard, so you can imagine it was always bleeding in game. BIG TIME!!!!!

ok, i got that patch, but ur saying that i cant install the beta patch now or it'l mess stuff up. great. time to reinstall. i should get the 1.03 patch ya?
