Any ideas?

Ive been thinking about a pyramid (3, 4, 5, and 6 sided) with the forward corner being pulled out. much like the borg ship azel designed, and WZ made and hosted.

Why not Stargate?  You can go movie-themed (where the aliens aren't snake-like and aren't scavengers) or SG-1-themed and you still would have a good-enough egyptian look.  But as I said, we don't have enough of that for SFC... *shrug*

This, not only is for an SFC mod, but is for my web comic, and i wanted to avoid making things too obvious... i do want to make an alien race that at one point were the gods of egypt, for they eventually join the coallition of species that inhabit the galaxy, but thats way off in the series..

Here is an idea i was tossing around. This is a Heavy Cruiser.

There were many other styles / experimental pyramids IE the Step pyramid the came prior to the ones at Giza. If ya wanna stay away from the SG look perhaps that's an option to explore as well.

Honestly, I don't think there is a way to represent the Egyptian pyramids without looking SG'ish. If you make it more mechanical looking it becomes Borg'ish. Perhaps look to South American designs ? IE Inca and Myan pyramids ? I dunno, just trying to help.

Well, Stargate was the first (at least the first popular movie/series) to alienate Egyptians, to have us ponder how the pyramids were really built, etc.  If Stargate never existed, you'd have no trouble doing so yourself.

Why limit yourself to the 'Egyptian' pyramid?  It has been suggested that the Great Pyramids of Giza pre-date the Egyptian civilisations and that descendant generations only copied the design.  Even if you don't believe that theory, the Egyptian civilisation threw out more architectural designs that are just as iconic.  Perhaps develop something from a temple or palace design.  Or spin something out from the sculpted deities, or perhaps the Sphynx, or a scarab?  There's a load of material you can work with and stay true to the Egyptian aesthetic without dogmatically sticking to the pyramid.
