We moved it to DH's box. The auto reboot probably isnt working.

And to make matters worse, I talked Bonk and DH out of making me learn how to logon and reboot the server. Stupid me, I should have done as they asked... I SWEAR DH set me up! It isw supposed to auto reboot!

I can't connect remotely and I'm at work.   Sorry, Nothing I can do about it for a few hours.

WTF would cause it to lock up at 7 AM?

I'll see what I can do.

The TS Session must me hung.

Bonk, at around 2 PM EST, I should be able to run home and physically hard boot the server.   I'll not have time to do anything else.  Can you get it running?

I'll post when I'm back in the office.

Yup, just PM me the IP address (I forgot - noted at home).

I tried to connect to do a db clean this morning and could not see the box at all. It seemed fine last night.

~ 7:15 am EST - the remote session did not connect at all... gave an error about server busy or too many connections or something like that. Could not see the webmap either, I assumed a windows crash. (yes Dizzy, the processsentinel is set to reboot the server ten seconds after it goes down - this is a different problem entirely.) What was that other task you had it running DH?

7:15!   You broke it!!!!  ;D

What does this doe?  Nothing.   It's a file server with no clients  ;D.  It does nothing else but store backups which is why it's ideal for D2 usage as it does nothing else.   This is the same box we ran GW1, 2, 3, and 4(Part time) on.

I have 1 hour for lunch at 2 PM EST and a 25 minute commute.   This give me just enough tim to literally run home, kill the TS sessions, reboot the box, and make it back for a 3 PM meeting.  Try again at 3 PM

First close yor browser, then try clearing your temporary Internet Files and then refresh the page.. no one else is seeig the pic.. I suppose that you have your browser set to Automatic Update Page instead of reload ever page on visit... that is why you still see his image.

What does it matters if u see his pic or not?
Since  there r not any replies from  icmp messages when u ping his ip,his server is either down due to a propably power failure or somehow lost internet connection.
If he uses a router no matter whats going on with his server it should reply when u ping his ip.In that case the problem should be in his router.

I meant the ping to your ip from my router gave success rate 0 percent, so u have definitely  lost internet connection.
I hope its nothing serious and  your router just needs a reboot.

I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to the entire community and announce my leaving the D2 community.

For you see,  today the following occured.

-    Friday night is Pizza Night.   That means the night Shop Rex and I always order pizza at home, watch TV, snuggle, and I pretend to listen to her discussions.   Yes, I know, pathetic.   But whatever.   SO on Firday nights I can never play.

-     This morning she informs me that a bunch of her girlfriends want to get together and spend the night together (a sleep over).   It so they can work on their sewing hobby.  So, she tells me, with a great deal of regret I might add, that I am a free man all night Friday night.

Therefore,  I had all afternoon and tonight to play ont he server.

As a result, it is clearly my fault the server is dead.

I am so sorry.   I'll leave now.   <hangs head in shame and walks slowly into the sunset>

<sniff>

Oh and one more thing

I share the metaphysical blame with Jinn. Time on hand, Shoppus Minorus out, etc.

On the other hand, she did "go out for lunch" with me at a Sports Bar so I could dine on fine ale and Chicken Wings as said bar intelligently offers good salads as well ( without them being named after Offensive Plays).
