I've decided to call Coop-Ace 4.0 final and ready to go. I've sent it back to MagnumMan so that he can put it up on his website as his has always been the authoritive site for the downloads. It is for both SFC2:EAW and SFC:OP, so please download and upgrade from your current Coop-Ace version.

I've recently completed OP+ 4.0 (about 3 weeks ago?) which implements an idea I had: enhanced shiplist information added in such a way the game ignores it. This information can be loaded up by missions if the MagnumMan ShipList API is modified to do so. Coop-Ace 4.0 completes that idea, being the last step in all of the things I planned to do as early as 7 months ago.
Coop-Ace has always been the key example of use for the ShipList API. Scripters, if you're interested, it's here:

The OP customizer benefits from these following new features:
* Better control over X1 Era
* Control on whether we want mixed-era fleets, in existance during chosen era, or only ships only from the chosen era.
* Enhanced API Settings
If you choose to use the Enhanced API settings, be sure to use a shiplist capable of using it. OP+ 4.0 is the first and only one implemented at this time, but I know that Chris Jones is working on adding the new settings to his own shiplist. If the script doesn't detect an enhanced shiplist, it will just simply use the classic settings which are still quite functional.
With the new settings, it's possible to do the most wicked games against the AI.
For example
1- Mauler challenge: Players are told to pick only Alliance ships, 200 BPV. The 3 coalition races (Klingon, Romulan, Lyran) are on, and the script is set to 'mix' them. In the enhanced customizer's settings, only "Mauler" is on.
2- BBs VS XTech: Players are to pick any BB of their choice. Set the BPV to 700BPV or whatever. The settings are:
- Late Era for players. (in-game era)
- Adnaved Era for AI. (set in customizer)
- X1 ships are part of Advanced Era
- Do not increase odds of Xships, let them get picked mixed.
- Turn on "Force selection of ships in current era".
- Enhanced Settings: whatever. Default. You can even turn it off and use the classic settings for this.
3- Damn Carrier Freighters:
- Enhanced shiplist settings on, select the 3 Auxiliary sizes. Those are freighters.
- in the Roles, select only 'Carrier' and 'PF Tender'.
4- .. etc? .. Let me know if you come up with something new.

Oh.. and there are like.. 5 new maps in Coop-Ace 4.0 for OP. (4 in EAW, it can't do Ion storms). That should spice things up a bit more.
