« on: January 22, 2005, 12:00:48 pm »
Assumed i want to buy SFC2:OP and SFC3 to play online... where do i get it ? If somebody comes up with a german store that still sells those i would be very happy, but i am so desperate, i guess i also would order it from australia ^^

Not easy to find this game, especially SFC2:OP.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Not really unless someone has a copy to sell. I sold my last spare copy a few months ago. I will say though that If one of our Members here offers you a copy, you can trust them. The people here are very good about Helping each other out, and are Very trustworthy.

You could also get a card that will work as a credit card from your local bank.. 90% of banks world wide have ATM Check Debit cards that also offer the Visa and mastercard logo on them and work as a credit card on line.. the only limitation is your daily limit set on the card and the amount you have in the bank.. Very hard to overdraft your account. Many people don't realize what local banks offer now in lieu of an actual "get my ass in massive debt" credit card.. the ATM Check/Debit card is the best alternative and can be used like a credit card so long as it has the Visa or Mastercard logo on the face of the card and that you have money in your account... basically your credit limit is your account balance and the daily limit you set on your card when you open your account...

There are always alternatives and no credit card is no excuse unless you are unemployed... Ebay also has a Direct Buy offer on several products in which you can purchase the item directly without having to place a bid on it.. thus eliminating the need to outbid anyone...

Also there are international laws protecting you from fraudulent purchases.. just purchase one that states unopened.. if you encounter problems, make sure you keep a copy of your on line transaction either saved to disk or printed hard copy in order to submit to local authorties.. plus follow up with postings about the character of the salesman of the product on Ebay.. this will effect their credibility.

Hope that this helps.

Thats a bit complicated, but seems to be the only way - i think the easiest solution is i go and find somebody who has a VISA card and let him make the bid for me. Third-party butt-in in therms of payment, i wonder why you can't pay per money order... i mean ULTIMATELY i have to pay somebody to pay paypal to pay the guy selling it. I think its utter nonsense, but there is obviously no other solution. And the funny thing is that the fee for the money transfer exceeds the game price in this case... oh well ^^

Actually, a lot of the seller's on ebay also take money orders. They normally wait until receiving the money order before shipping the item, but it is another option other than a credit card, debit card, or paypal. Some even take personal checks. Each seller states their payment method in their bid. I've bought a lot of items on ebay and have never used anything other than money orders.
