Always show common courtesy to all other players. Abusive players will be banned.

Does this mean that your going to be banned from your own server after you get done abusing me and my poor ship? ;D

The Tholian rules suck, why make the ships they are eligible to fly directly dependent on how many are online?  There most likely won't be that many players flying as Tholian and these rules will just screw the ones who do if they don't always have enough online.

The limited Tholian at a time rule was used in the GW servers as well for the Fun account that was actually allied to a side, such as this. LDR was the introduction as GW1's Wyn were not allied to anyone, they just were, and any side could create an account just for the heck of it.
This means if there are 5 Tholians online, you can ask that someone sign off and let you have fun too or you sign off yourself and use another Alliance account until a seat is freed.

I'm not talking about the amount of Tholians allowed on at a time.  I talking about each Tholians ship choices being limited (what they are allowed to fly read the Tholian CnC restrictions above) to the number of Tholians logged in.

Have to agree with Bach here as no other races have similar restrictions based on what other online pilots are flying in proportion.  I'd say the best way to achieve a sucessful restriction would be an overll limit on how many DNs etc were on at any given time.   For example if only 1 DN and one BCH were allowed on at a time, then the number of players in smaller line ships would be irrelevant, while still keeping a control of the total stregth of the Tholians online.  I think in oreder to implement the system as currently propossed, all races would have to comply to the same guidelines.

I am sooooo going to be wearing my butt as a hat.  First real time ever playing, and I'm jumping into this?  Sheesh.  I expect to have a lot of fun prior to being vaporized. ;D

Actually, I like the concept.

Think about it.  The Tholians are restricted to working a what, 50 or so hex region (their original space and a 2-hex limit around it), and they can only be found in a 100 or so hex region (the 4 hexes out rule).

Also, instead of tracking BPs and stuff for a small race, the requirements are the diversion of players from Alliance accounts.  To field a DN, you need a total of 3 Alliance pilots stuck in the Tholian region, and to fly a BCH you need 2 Alliance pilots.

The only rule I'd change (or clearly specify), is that if there is only 1 Tholian online, he is allowed to fly a special ship, as you need a 2-pilot minimum to play a BCH.

And the other point in here:

If the Tholians were allowed to field a DN and BCH freely, do you honestly think that they would pop up to the full limit of 5 players readily?  Player 1 snags DN, Player 2 snags BCH.  Other pilots wait till the first 2 are offline, or play waiting for one of the other specials to log off, so they can grab it.  Also, the major races are limited in their builds according to the BP/CP system.  If one side conserves it's points in such a manner that allows them to field a full flight of special ships on at any one time, all the power to them.  I'd add a line that says if the Tholians have a full 5 person allotment, they would be able to fly a DN and BCH at the same time.  As soon as one player logs out, one of the ships has to go until the max is reached again.

Actually I'm not surprised even a tiny winy little bit that you Julin like the concept as you are heading up the ISC camp in fact I'd be surprised if you didn't.  I bet you are especially fond of the "ISC and Romulan special disengagement" rules which are garbage as well.

I however actually don't like the concept,  I'll tell ya what though you and the ISC pony up and follow the same guidelines and I'll drop the issue.   ::)

I'm definately willing to, if it applies to all races, although it would likely be a logistical nightmare

Not necessarily true as there would be advantages to having a small ship do the drafting.

Uhmm why not reduce all the Tholian hexes to the Border (10) and interior(20) DV's of the other Empires and let them
fly what they want?Or let them fly the DN's but only in original Tholian hexes?
I'm sure Bach isn't implying that they should get a Base in every hex, 50DV hexes everywhere AND there choice of ships as well
as the ability to use those ships outside the holdfast.

I'd say that if it takes you longer than half an hour to post the rules for your server, then there's too many rules.

I like the idea of Romulan special deepstrike rules, but not ISC.  Romulans have cloak, Concordians do not.

Although all this might've sounded good in the car on the way home (from Cleveland), it's a bit much, and whoever decides to police them won't be playing much, if at all.
I was never here, you were never here, this conversation never took place, and you most certainly did not see me.
