Excelsior! -no not the Stan Lee saying
« on: January 09, 2005, 02:31:50 am »
Well at least those of you old enough to know about the head of Marvel comics from the 70s, 80s, and some 90s plus allot of the cartoons from them (Spiderman). But no not talking about him but this gal here. Just need to finish up the saucer lights and Light maps and she will be done. So if I get the time I need tomorrow she will be out, if not then by next weekend for sure.

Pictures!!!

Thanks,

Never did one of those. Anyways for those that remember the other version I did this one will also have the 3 different engine types so you will be able to use them as variants.

Alright will upload some screen shots later. Will show the different Engines and the added ring on the upper saucer. All that is left is the windows on the upper saucer and I am done (of coarse doing windows take close to forever to do)

Added the windows in the front one the light blue strip again. For some reason that layer did not save when I made the bmp file. The second time I made the file it did. Light maps are finished so she should be out the door by this weekend, want some time to look her over to see if I missed anything else.

Hey at least I said it would be out  ;D
Could have just turned into one for the personal collection!  :P

Nah,
Added the Registries on the warp engines just now and some more pin stripes. Should be out soon just need to zip it up, because it is turning into that "oh I can add more here still syndrom" which is how I usually can tell it should go.

See the registry on the engines looks much better. and so does the pin striping that goes on the side of the pylons both inside and out. :D

The next step is for you to PM me and work out a payment plan to get this gal released quicker! (joke, just incase you can't tell or anyone else for that matter)

Anyways here are some screenies of the finished ship, so which one should go as the poster for the download pic? (1-4 please)

Great Work- the Excelsior has  been my favorite canon ship since I first saw her on Star Trek III, still my favorite.
One question though- in that shuttle bay, what is that thing sticking out? I always thought it was just doors there.... you know, like the you-know-what...
