Why do isc fighters have photons?
Very good question, and one of the things that I would have like to have addressed had I not been bombarded with trivial unimportant Bullsh*t all weekend
(yes, Dizzy, I mean you)
In testing, we founf the Plasma Ds on the fighters to be too broken to use. This was not really noticed on GW4 because the mid-era romulan fighters only had 2 D-torps, the level of "brokeness" simply never got noticed.
In SFB, a fighters could fire 1 Plasma D per turn. Put Plasma D on a fighter in SFC and they fire one per IMPULSE! The Late era mega-pack fighter have 6 D-Torp. This meant a squad of 4 could dump 24 D-torp in 3 seconds. Do I really need to eleborate on how broken this is?
PhotF is used to replicate a mini-plasma bolt. One PhotF is used for every PlasmaD that was on a fighter in SFB. It does damge about what a bolted D would do (yeah I know fighters couldn't bolt, don't stop me when I'm on a role).
I hope you find the ISC/Romulan/Gorn fighters to be just as evil as t00l did in testing.
