OK.. how do you launch the game?
lets try this first...
if there is a desktop shortcut, delete it.
next for EAW, go into Program Files and find the Taldren folder in it you will see Starfleet Command II folder.. find the Starfleet2.exe file, right click and select copy and then go to your desktop.. find an empty area, right click and select "Paste Shortcut".. use this to launch SFC 2 EAW
for Orion Pirates, do the exact same thing except the game is located in Taldren Software Inc folder and the Orion Pirates game directory is Starfleet Command Orion Pirates.. you will need to make a desktop shortcut to StarfleetOP.exe in order to launch the game properly...
also there are several utilities for Orion Pirates that will help correct your game.. for screen resolution adjustment.. Khoromag's EZ-INI file.. for Dynaverse fixes, automatic shortcut fixes, sound loop problems and so forth, Firesoul's Mini-Updater or OP + v4.0
also if you want these items in 1 installer with a lot of scripts, i have a community contributed installer for Orion Pirates called the OP Enhancement Pack.. currently the one available is a bit out of date with Firesoul releasing OP + v4 last week.. as such, I should be putting one up online after Firesoul releases the Co-Op Ace customizer script for OP + v4.0...
anyhow EZ-INI works for both EAW and OP..
for EAW.. you will have to change your WonServerSetup.gf file as posted in several links provided here for access to the Dynaverse.. for OP the Mini-Updater by Firesoul and the OP + v4.0 by Firesoul contains the fix for the Dynaverse...
anyhow.. I hope that this helps..
as for your data entry in to fields in game.. that is most likely the game launch file you are using or the file in which the shortcut is pointing to.. if the game is not pointing to the Starfleet2.exe or the StarfleetOP.exe, depending on which game you are having problems in, and / or your Star In path is not pointing to the install directory for the game.. this will cause the game to get buggy... also using the SFC2.exe game file or the SFCOP.exe game file will cause bugs in game and it is recommmended to launch game with the files I suggest.. that usually clears up about 90% of problems concerning the data entry fields and it also fixes bugs like missing fighters and invalid missle reloads...
anyhow.. good luck
