bloody hell - 25th C. refit?
That'd make the older ships 155 years old (assuming any of the original Connies are still in service by 2400).
Very nice bashes, subtle and convincing
BTW the Ent-A was decommissioned in 2293 to make way for the Ent-B, might want to use a different name.
Actually, it was done on purpose. Capt. Dawg and I felt that as long as she kept her specific registry, i.e. NCC - 1701 - A, it wouldn't be much of a problem. We all know the Enterprise was self-destructed, the Enterprise-C was destroyed at Neranda III, and the Enterprise D destroyed at Veridian III. No one knows what happened to the Enterprise-B. Maybe she was destroyed. Maybe she was retired. We do know the Enterprise-A was retired, so somewhere her hull was mothballed for later use if the situation ever arised.
I also remembered in DS9 when the Defiant was blown up, and then Capt. Sisko was given a new ship, and he was allowed to name her the Defiant. This new Defiant got the original registry as her predecessor, with no A at the end of it, to denote the namesake. So I figured, if that could happen in canon Trek, well, this could work too. :-D Besides, people always love their legends.
