A Lyran civil war would be really interesting, I think.  There's plenty of background for it, actually, I could help in that department, I've done a bit of research on Lyrans.

Well, not exactly. If memory serves me correctly, the Khitomer Massacre, the incident that claimed the NCC-1701-C, was what kindled the hatred between the Klingon and Romulan empires according to TNG. But in the spirit of revisionist history ( ), I'm entertaining the thought of an even earlier conflict that would've led to the Khitomer Massacre. For such a server I'm thinking late era...maybe extending into X-era with REVISED X ships. Chronologically this would clash with the General War/ISC Invasion/Andro Invasion, but who cares? A post-Andro Invasion scuffle between the Klinks and Roms would put the era of the server entirely into X-era, which doesn't sound all to appealing to me That is, unless someone can come up with advanced era ships that require some tactics to fly and aren't hyped up on steroids

Actually the Gurps Klingon book says the Klinks were planning on "expanding" into Romulan space when the
Tholians arrived and inadvertantly set up a buffer.

Lyran Civil War is the second of two servers I'm thinking of before KCW.

The incident at "Nerendra 3" came before "Khittomer"
The Romulans hads just had a change of leadership and wanted to flex their muscles (hmm why not the Feds i wonder)
They believed the Nerendra system could of been a stage point for an attack on the RSE, Hence the Attack, and the name "Enterprise" escalates further into Legendary status as it is destroyed defending the outpost

The histories of TV shows and Star Fleet Battles are OK.

But speaking for myself and my House, in this game dating back to at least the Rooks Tavern Server the Roulans have always been close Friends and Allies of the Klingons.

Emerald Edge, Pardek, Drall, and others of SPQR have always come to the aid of the Klingon Empire in battle.

The Klingons and Romulans have long been not just Allies but true friends.

I and my house will not fight against our Romulan brothers!

I urge other Klingon warriors to make their voices heard on this.

But what will be the premise of Return of the Kitties?  I think who ever saved the RP threads from AOTK needs to repost them to remind us the story behind the original so the Supreme Spammer Hexx (c) (and anyone else capable and willing)  can extend the story.
