Loose Guide to Upcoming Campaigns
« on: January 03, 2005, 04:08:28 am »
I thought I'd bring this thread back, give us an idea of what is coming in the near future to the D2.

So, here's what I know of at the moment...

-Slave Girls of Orion IV (from Dizzy and DH)

-Econ War (A Herr Burt production)

-General War 5 & 6 (J'inn and Co.)

-Storm Season III (Capt Jeff's classic returns)

-Klingon Civil War (revival by Hexx)

-Mirror Mirror (SkyFlyer's work)

...that's all of have heard of at this time.  It would be cool if server admins could post here about their upcoming campaigns.

I suppose I should run these sometime this year to add Admin. to my SFC scripter, ARM resume.

Jeez, it's 2005 already :O

ISC Invasion
As a logical progression of the GW server campaign series, the ISC War of Pacification shall begin. Am currently in the early planning stages (ie. either localized campaigns that progress in stages from ISC space to eventually Lyran/Hydran space or flat-out war using I/K/G/R vs. F/M/H/L alliances w/ Star Trek canon map from TV/Film epidodes).  All the technical issues are well in hand.

Andro. Invasion (Galaxies at War)
The ISC Pacification campaign will get blind-sided by a surprise invasion by the Andromedans, (they will take Romulan place in shiplist). The Romulans, having been devastated by the General War and then the ISC Pacification campaign have decided to lie low and stay out of the fight by making a non-agression pact with the Andros. The Tholians will also make an appearance and desperately try to hold their empire against the extra-galactic threat. They will take the MIrak place in the shiplist. The MIrak, like the Romulans, were particularly badly damaged in the ISC Inv. and General War and sought neutrality by making a non-agression pact with the Andros. Flat-out war using Andros. vs. ISC/Tholians vs. the remaining powers of F/K/G/L/H alliances). The technical issues are well in hand. The Andros will have Displacement Devices of a limited fashion. Tholians will have web snares. To make all the SFC4-ish features work the mission pack will be all speciallly customized GAWtm modified version of the EEK mission pack.  EEK even has butt-simple 1v1 patrol missions so they won't be hard. :P

Hmmm
Personally I think the ISC may be getting a little to upitty.
I think J'inn mentioned plans to possibly consider them as well, that will make at least
3, possibly 4 (or more) servers with an ISC contingent.
Also there will be at least one, probably two servers done by Hexx before KCW is done.

I think the Lyrans will be involved in one, and the otehr will see someone pounding on the Feds.

EDIT -Did I mention I'm still looking for scapego.. volunteers to run the technical side of it?
I'd hate to have to simply choose two of you to make it happen.
