There's still a ton of stupid crap in it.  (not that I don't love Star Wars on DVD)

For example, when Han, Obi-Wan and Luke are talking on the Falcon in IV (A New Hope) when Luke is practicing with the lightsaber, it turns distinctly green at one point. How could the editors miss something so obvious? makes me mad.

Here's something to turn you green, my uncle has to ultimate edition of Star WArs(have to look at the boxes again to check on the actual title) which is an edition which has the original Star Wars trilogy, but on Laserdisc.  In addition it has all the making of's that came out in the 80s, as well as some of the deleted scenes I beleive (not certain) including that which has the classic discussion between Luke and Biggs!!!!!

I've seen it, but that he has the laserdisc copy I think, makes it pretty cool.  I wonder if he'd get mad if I sold it, how much is it worth...actually, he'd probably kill me.

I dont think its worth a terrible amount, but its pretty neat to have. As I remember "laserdisc" was just a precursor to DvD, and The Star Wars Special Edition was released on it. It had all the Special Edition 'fixes' that we see now, save a few.  The conersation between Luke and Biggs is a good example.   Another one from A New Hope is the Falcon blasting out of Mos Eisley. Also, the most famous, is Greedo shooting first.

EDIT:

Also, the Trilogy DVD set has a 150minute 'making of' sorta thing on a 4th disc. Very cool!

How dare you let him watch that cinematic abortion. Get your butt down to Blockbuster

It's  Christensen, the one who plays Obi-Wan in Episodes 2-3.  It's more fitting, I have to say.

Another change I remember....

The holographic Emperor in The Empire Strikes Back was changed to look more how the Emperor will look in III.

This one isn't the Special Editions, it contains the original films.  It's the Widescreen Collectors Edition for Laserdisc I believe, called the Star Wars Definitive edition...I think the average price is anywhere between 80 to 100 USD currently...if one can find it.

The Biggs and Luke scene is the one at the Beginning of the movie, where Luke talks to Biggs about him going off whilst still on Tatooine.

Addendum:  I was mistaken above I think it was released in the early 90s.

I dont believe I've ever seen that scene.  That's interesting, considering Biggs was a pilot during the assault on the Death Star. Then again, they stapped Luke in one too so maybe its not that odd.
