This thre a way to change the starting rank on the single player game
adding ranks ensign and let to each race.
were to u change the startinging rank for each race from lt. command to Ensign. in the single player campiagn.

there are only 4 promotion ranks, however you can change them to say what you want. You could put an Ens rank in, but honestly, who would put an ensign incharge of a starship? HAHA I tried once to add ranks, it didn't work. Sorry bud.

You need source code to change that to add ranks. BTW Those ranks from AAStrings do not work in SFC2/OP. There are other rank data in the .gf files...
