I can't believe I have tossed so many models because they had targa and I figured they would only work for SFC3 when they work in SFC2, if you just change the textures from Targa to BMP.

No the sad part is they are easy to convert, and do not have to be reapplied to the model. Anyone with a scanner program, PaintShop Pro, or PhotoShop can convert them.

Well, the recently released Dvoridex has .tga files and I have a trial version of Paint Shop Pro. How do I make conversions?

Simply open the file with PSP Pro 7. Then take "File" from above menu. Then click "save as" and chose BMP file format below.

And that's it

and don't forget to click "save" button:)

There is a good (free) converter a and alpha channel maker on BCFILES.com in the utilities section. I use it all the time for A2 to SFC conversions.

Quicktime player can also be used. Just do copy, open MS Paint, paste, and save. Just be sure to leave the quicktime window at the size that it loads the image at. I resized the window so that I could see the whole image and wound up with smaller textures.
