Centaur Refit WIP - What do you thing about her redress?

Knox 1710 and P81's Centaur class has received a shuttlebay and phaser turret. Before releasing it I need permission from GAFY to use his model part (I mean "Shuttle bay") from his TMP Era Saladin Class Destroyer. Which can be found at www.battleclinic.com

The shuttlebay is actually the creation of Lord Schuppt, if I am not mistaken. But, man does it look perfect on your Centaur. It blends right in as it it were supposed to be there all along. Great looking ship! Your logic concerning the phaser bank coverage also makes sense.

UUUHhhh, that's not a Centaur. The Centaur has a shuttle bay on the front of the bridge module, and is pointed.http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/articles/ds9tm/uss_centaur_top.jpg, this is a pic of the studio model.

The ship looks great, but, it's not a true Centaur. :P

I dunno I kinda like this design better than the centaur. As a fully qualified shuttle pilot naturally I prefer the hanger in back. :D

The recolor on my little bit looks good, blanket permission granted btw - no permission needed from me to release any models with my parts on it ;D

umm and also the centaur has only 2 ohoton bays on each end of the bod like the miranda... if i can find a scanner ill post some nice CD pics form my ST mags...

The STMag had a really botched CG that's pretty similar to the Centaur but misses several important details or gets them wrong, check the photos of the actual studio model here: http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/articles/ds9tm.htm

Most of the bits'n'pieces added to it have been identified by this person who built a replica in the actual way the original was made: http://members.fortunecity.com/msfm/stephen_l/usscentaur.htm, but he's wrong about the scale of it, IMHO.

Yup that Bay is Lord Shtupps' work and if you used anything of mine (textures), as long as I make the readme I am fine with it. I rather like ppl to release models as soon as they can rather than having to find me.

I like it. 8)  Since it is a refit it makes sense that the weapons and shuttlebay would be altered.

I actually like this Centaur better with the shuttle bay in the back.  Just seems more practical to build many ships like this and probably easier.
