I've had the idea for a while of common campaign ribbons for all the D2 folks. Now, a couple of fleets already have their own (F9th in their sigs and KAT on MRess's webpage), but I still liked the idea of common ribbons for all of us.

After collaborating with F9thRyker on the subject (he does the ribbons for the 9th fleet), I did up some ribbon wips...

As you can see, I combined a number of campaign "series" into one ribbon. I did this out of a concern that individual campaign ribbons would take up a lot of space in the signature line, particularly for the long time vets of the D2. Of course, there are those that came later to the D2, such as myself, or missed a campaign for whatever reason, so the "combined" ribbons have elements that can be customized for each person. Using myself as an example...

My first campaign was CW5, so I only have the 'V' marked.

For each of the GW campaigns, there is a 'pip'. Since I missed GW3 (and assuming I play 5 and 6), the third 'pip' is missing.

Fo SG, there are bars in the background for each campaign. I played SG3 (and will play SG4), so my ribbon is shown thus.

As I said, these ribbons are wips (in fact, I plan on changing the Storm Season ribbon, I'm not satisfied with it). If there is enough interest in this project and I move forward with it, I'd love to have the individual admins of the campaigns chime in with any comments or suggestions they might have regarding the ribbon for their campaign(s).

What say you all?

I'd be interested, Wanderer. I've long wanted to do that with my sig, but have never taken the time to get it done.

This will be even better, because you'll likely do a better job anyway and I can just mooch.

Very nice, Wanderer. Some pilots may have trouble getting all those ribbons in their sig pic, tho.

I'm not even sure which one was my first serious campaign on D2, since for a long time I was strictly a SL/GZ player. One of the CW servers, but I'm not quite sure which.

Looks good Wanderer. I think it will be a matter for the individual as to whether they want to wear the ribbons, rather than any leadership thing. Yours are very good, and I'd be interested

Agree w/ Gook. Very good job. What I do like is the fact that you kept them small so they wouldn't dominate the sig.

Don't forget Rooks Tavern, Litter Box, Triangle, and Herr Bert's campaigns. Any others I forgot?

Don't worry, Green, I haven't forgot the other campaigns. I just did up these few to start with to get the idea out there.

I'm glad folks are liking the idea so far, even though it will mean a lot of work for me, lol.

I'm going to go ahead and do this. Any player wishing to have ribbons added to their sig, I'll be more than happy to do it for you when I complete the set. Still trolling for comments, especially from campaign admins. These are your campaigns that I'm making ribbons for, after all. I'm more than open to any suggestions or comments that you might have.
