So, how do you change?

NPR is a lot like NASCAR.  Two hundred miles an hour in a circle, and you end up right back where you started with nothing but lost time for the effort.

At 4.7MB Firefox does not even take long to download - even on dialup.

But take time between install and use to explore the configuration settings.

I can't take a vote on this as I use both .I use Firefox for browsing and such but I use IE to make replies to my e-mail and to do downloads with. That seems to be the only browser that works with getright. There is away to speed up IE as I found out it is in the settings part of the where your cookies and cache or internet files are.

Where's the poll asking how many of us didn't participate in this poll because we didn't want to get involved in another silly browser debate?

Open Getright program (gee hold on I have to look for myself again) Click Tools then Configuration.  In the left pane expand the General tree then expand the Monitor subsection.  Click the More Browsers and on the right side of the dialog box place a check mark in the option for Mozilla.  In fact just to be on the safe side put a check mark in the option for Netscape as well.  Make sure you are upgraded to Getright version 5.2b or else what I explained will not work.  Hope this helps.

With the latest XP update, Firefox seems to be quite glitchy on my computer, it has difficulties on Major League Baseballs site in particular.  It seems to randomly crash on various sites, but since that last Firefox update (except for MLBs site which still glitches occasionally) it now only crashes when I close the browser.

That said, I do prefer Firefox over IE, but there are some sites that just require IE to load it properly.

It seems to avoid the issues I have with both Firefox and IE at the moment. (Firefox suffers from javascript creeping into the codebase, and IE seems to only want to render the page once everthing on it is downloaded, which is rather frustrating, however disabling images and javascript in IE seems to achieve the behaviour I desire in a browser)

Wow. A thread from 2004 gets resurrected.
Only in America .....do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poli' in Latin meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.
