..that you could rotate a drone that had been defensively tractored!

Now I do.  Cool beans.

Hmm, can I get a speed boost if I rotate it behind me?

Now if I could just figure out where the fluxcapacitor button is.

 Yes, being able to rotate a tractored drone can be quite useful. As far as I know a tractored drone will not have any effect on the speed of your ship.
 By fluxcapacitor do you mean Stasis Field Generator? If so, sorry you are out of luck, that system did not make the transfer from SFB.

Yep, even if you put the drone directly behind you it won't speed you up. If you let the tractor go then you may even slow down.  ;D

You are both wrong. If you have 12 drones behind you, then yes you will go faster... MUCH faster!
