Karnak, meesa got a problem.

You missions do not like my shiplist.  It is too late to change my shiplist.

Is there any chance of you being able to help me with this?   Otherwise I have to regretably. pull the EEK misisons from GW4.

Hey DH,
Just wondering what it is that the missions "don't like"? We do similar stuff with our shiplist/ftrlist. I haven't tried the latest missions, but Karnak's have always worked fine before.

I'm not using a Cartel as the Donor, that is why I'm having the problem.   if you use a Cartel, donated ships can engine double.   I beleive is has to do with Magnuman's Shiplist API thingamasomething.

I don't use cartels to donate to the empires either for the same reason, engine doubling. I do use the Lionheart cartel to donate tenders to the pirate cartels, but empires are donated to by other empires.

The latest version of Karnak's scripts that I have is EEK-OP221.exe. Are those the ones that you are using? If so, I'll install them in my game and see if I have any probs.

Isn't there an option to kill engine doubling for the pirate cartels?

Perhaps that would be useful if you use a cartel to donate... :D

Needs to be done in SFC.ini.   THis cannot be CRC checked.

Why not just change the shiplist so the entire gorn race is at the top of the list, including donated ships. (and put the rest of the races back in the normal order... (unless you're using more than one donor race) - edit ah I see you're using the feds to donate fighters that explains the order, why not use a np race (mirak?) to donate fighters from the top of the list like you have done for the PFs, just put the whole of the donor races at the top and it should work ok,  not too late to change... ;)

oops another edit: oh I see you have the thols in the gorn slot... confusing... the feds are donating fighters to the gorn which are in turn donating PFs to everyone else and serving as the Thols!?

I'd use one empire at the top to donate fighters and another to donate PFs (the whole of the empires should be placed at the top),

lets see, if we have native Klingons, Roms and Feds with the Thols in another empire slot, that leaves five slots to pick for donors:
Mirak (fighter donor)
ISC (fighter donor)
Lyran (PF donor)
Hydran (fighter donor)
Gorn (PF donor)

so how about (in order):
Lyran (PF donor), whole empire
Mirak (fighter donor), whole empire
...remaining emires and cartels in the normal order. (Gorns still as Thols)

If you wish to avoid crossover of donated PFs and fighters to enemy races availability then move the Thols to a fighter slot and use two PF races and two fighter races at the top of the list to donate fighters and PFs...

a fair bit of work to re-do it, but not that much... may not be worth it if you have already pulled the missions affected by the current shiplist.

We're going live Saturday.  I'm not delaying this for anything short of a national disaster.

The mod works fine withthe ED misisons.  W'ell simply have to use them.

Cool man, I just figured I'd let ya know its fixable if you want to, it'd just be a few hours painful work... (not that I'm volunteering, lol). On with the show!

DH,

OK, I finally read this thread in detail. Basically, all your assumptions are wrong. First of all, EEK missions are not using MagnumMan shiplist API. I am not happy with a few features of the API that are not working out the way I wanted so I shut them off in the ES Patrol prototype mission.  Second, make sure you have the moving asteroid, N-AST, and the neutral planets, N-PL1 thru N-PL17, in the shiplist too.
