Gents,

I am trying to get a number of old 1st gen players back into the game. The only game they all currently have is EAW. At the moment they are only interested in IP games. Now many have routers and come to think of it so do I have a new Belkin router. For an IP game on unpatched EAW will we need to open ports? If so which ones? I don't think we need to use the login servers, but if we do, do the new addys and the like DE posted and stickied apply to EAW?

I am hoping to revive enough interest with a few "Battlefests" that some may look on a Dynaverse favourably again.

Allow pings, ports 2300-2400, 47624 is all that is needed for direct IP games and the D2 (OP and EAW) and the same directory server applies, also gamespy requires additional ports to create a room.

We were not going to go to GSA just set up and IP addy if that is still possible. I have to keep it as simple as I can with minimal DLs or many may just give up
