Sounds like a virus.

Sounds like a virus or too much Spyware software on your Hard Drive which occupy your system memory (RAM) :/ I suggest you download or buy AD-Aware 6.0 or AD-Aware Gold which is considered to be the best program removing Spy Ware sh*t from you HDD (I have the same problem and I'm getting rid of it ;) ) ;D

'tis strange.  I've been having problems accessing Dynaverse for the past couple of days - often getting the dreaded "page not found" message... last night, it took three attempts to post my latest release, and today I've had problems accessing a couple of threads (mostly the ones with pictures).  I'm pretty certain its not spyware on my part as I run Ad-Aware and EasyClean on a daily basis to keep this old thing running as smoothly as I can.

Glad you found the "bug".

But for future reference, you might want to run BOTH Ad-Aware and Spybot in tandem, that is, one right after the other, and then your favorite AV program.

That's what I do and at the end of the week, there's always a few bums to toss outta the HD.  A couple even come in from some merchant sites, even ones that I WOULD trust not to cheat me in an transaction.

Im having the same problem with DDs thread, except that IE just freezes. Turned off avatars, sigs, did disk cleanup, still the problem persists.

Try using FireFox http://www.mozilla.org/. 0 problems + tab browsing. And less chance of spyware.
Snickers@DND: If there is one straight answer in that bent little head of yours, you'd better start spillin' it pretty damn quick, or I'm gonna take a large, blunt object, roughly the size of Kallae AND his hat and shove it lengthwise up a crevice of your being so seldomly cleaned that even the denizens of the nine hells would not touch it with a 10-feet rusty pole

Yes he is right. You forget that spyware resides in systems registry files as well as in Windows folder ;)

I've been having it to and I did an online virus  scan and no results, so the forum doesn't have a virus (or atleast not one that it is spreading)

Maybe we need to do this, until we can convince people not to use animated sigs. :(

My personal view on Sigs is that they take up waaay too much space and I've had them switched off for a long time.  They may look pretty, but it's kinda frustrating sifting through page after page of them to find the actual message.
