"I want a Hippopotomus for Christmas"

Mike

Found the lyrics:

I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas
Only a Hippopotamus will do
Don?t wanna a doll
No dinky-tinker toy
I want a hippopotamus
To play with and enjoy
I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas
I don?t think Santa Claus will mind, do you?
He won?t have to use
A dirty chimney flue
Just bring him through the front door
That?s the easiest thing to do
I can see me now on Christmas morning
Creeping down the stairs
Oh, a joy and what surprise
When I open up my eyes
To see a Hippo-Hero standing there
I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas
Only a Hippopotamus will do
No crocodiles, no rhinoceroses
I only like Hippopotamuses
And Hippopotamuses like me too
Mom says a Hippo will eat me up, but then
Teacher says a Hippo is a vegetarian
There?s lots of room for him
In our two car garage
I?d feed him there, and wash him there, and give him his massage
I can see me now on Christmas morning
Creeping down the stairs
Oh, a joy and what surprise
When I open up my eyes
To see a Hippo-Hero standing there
I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas
Only a Hippopotamus will do
No crocodiles, no rhinoceroseses
I only like Hippopotamuseses
And Hippopotamuses like me too

Jingle Hells Bells by Bob Rivers.

Having spent a x-mas season working 12 hour shifts in a building with a 4 hour loop of x-mas music... I hate it all.
If Bing was still around I would have introduced him to a red christmas!
The only non-xmas song on the loop... butterfly kisses...
I cannot describe here what I wanted to do to Bob Carlisle.

Ugh.

How about Kip Adonna's "I Saw Daddy Kissing Santa Claus" ?

I saw daddy kissing, Santa Claus
Underneath the mistletoe last night
He didn't see me creep, down the stairs to have a peep
He thought that I was tucked up in my bedroom fast asleep

Then I saw daddy tickle, Santa Claus
Underneath his beard so snowy white
There must be some mistake, was I really awake?
I rub my eyes and moved in close up, better look to take
Then I..then I...hey..hey!

Then I saw daddy hugging, Santa Claus
He took his hand and pulled him to the couch,
It must have been just fine, Santa didn't seem to mind
Then daddy moved across the room to pour them both some wine,

Then I saw daddy fundle, Santa Claus
And on his beard he nibbled now and then,
I crawled across the floor, I hid behind the door,
I left it open just a crack so I could watch some more
then I..then I..then I...then I..

Then I saw daddy undress, Santa Claus
They quickly threw their clothes on a big chair
Well much to my surprise, I couldn't believe my eyes
It wasn't Santa after all but mommy in disguise

But I saw daddy kissing Santa Claus,
Underneath the mistletoe last night
Oh what a laugh it would it been,
If I had really seen daddy kissing Santa Claus that night..!

NPR is a lot like NASCAR.  Two hundred miles an hour in a circle, and you end up right back where you started with nothing but lost time for the effort.

White Christmas With Bing Cosby has always been one of My Favorites.

Stephen

Only if it has the original opening verse. To clarify, isn't there an opening verse to this tune that states that the reason he is draming of a white christmas is because he is in southern California, where there are no white christmas'?
Only in America .....do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poli' in Latin meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.

Carol of The Bells, especially any arrangement of it that involves an electric guitar.
"Dialogue from a play, Hamlet to Horatio: 'There are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy.' Dialogue from a play written long before men took to the sky. There are more things in heaven and earth, and in the sky, than perhaps can be dreamt of. And somewhere in between heaven, the sky, the earth, lies the Twilight Zone."

Grandma got run over by a reindeer.

You ever hear Da Yoopers parody of that song...called "Grandpa got run over by a beer truck"?

"...I've never seen Grandma drive that way..."
