Something for Outalance...
« on: December 01, 2004, 08:32:07 pm »
Well, while playing around, this idea came to me and vuwala...the NX-90669 USS PANTERA. I se this as being a TNG replace ment for the Centaur class, to be used as a scout with the Sov/Titan? Anyway, she comes in at 1632 polies and is yours if ya want to texture her...otherwise it'll be awhile before she gets done.

It doesn't have the grace of a centaur. Honestly,  it's rather dull. It doesn't  look mean,  fast, utilitarian, or really anything besides an oval saucer and arched pylons. It's about as exciting as a cargo ship.

C'mon, tell me what ya really think. Can't all be design gods like Azel...but I stand by it...it's a good design. 8)

Well, dunno what more I could say that I didn't the first time, but I will say I'll look again when it's finished. There's always the chance I might change my mind afterward, though I doubt anything could make me like this one.

Hehe, when has a Trek design ever needed to be anything? :D I mean, look at that monstrocity the Yeager. You may be right though...need to get some textures on her and see her all decked out. Who knows, she may wind up a glorified trash hauler for all I know. :P

Throw a TNG style battle pod on it and perhaps it's a Battletug. Outstanding work but not a great design.Just my $.02

Sorry i havent been around for a couple of days but real life is trying to assert itself and its taking up aload of my time but heres my 2 pence not wanting to sound mean but the design is lacking  as someone said maybe a weapons pod but im leaning more to the Pod as TNG doesnt have any i will get some textures on her when im able to so send her over once youve finished the mesh up

For some reason I was under the impression that you only textured Azels' ships. You had a post a while bacl that yo had lost everything on your hard drive and would only be doing Azels stuff from now on.

Sandman, regarding the saucer shape. It looks egg shaped.   ::) I think TNG is usually more sleeker. THe bottom needs something. That would be a good place for the weapons pod.
