I remember that Crim.  It was a DVL though, not a CVA+... I wasn't sure what you were trying to do, and in the end forgot all you had to do was scan and scoot :P  My bad.

I have a bunch of favorite missions.  Most of them are the ones where I was drafted into 1vs2s, and managed to inflict internals before being run off in a corner.  Incidently, these maps are too small IMHO when if you fly for 5-10+ minutes you're stuck in a corner.  Not enough time for bigger hulls to do or get damaged very much, but we all know the fate that lies for the captain who forgets that the second ship cutting him off in a corner probably will tractor you to death.

I think some of my absolute favorite missions were: Fighting a F-CB in a asteriod field against a dread carrier, actually managing to kill WarSears (just once) and believe it or not, the mission where it was my DVL against WarSears new C10K.  Yes, I smashed into an asteriod, but there you go.

Managed to keep a dread from the first build (2nd day of server) until two days before it ended.  I can't count the amount of times it saw PvP *shrugs*  I'm not a good carrier pilot or even a dread pilot either.  I have to agree with DH though, most of the PvP was running others off or being run off, only a few really fair battles overall.

Look forward to seeing you all again, ally and foe alike.

Two missions come to mind in my abbreviated stint on GW4:

I was playing Tobin Dax in a Rom hex, and managed to run him off in my C7V.  He went into a Fed base hex right above it, and I jumped him again, to drive him off the base hex.  I ran him off again, but not until he had killed my fighters and full load of missiles.  After the battle, was getting away, and got jumped by Kroma, in a fully-stocked BCV.  (Tobin was probably setting me up for this, nice job, Tobin)

We had a 48 minute battle.  I was in pretty good shape, and had managed to kill Kroma's fighters, and I think maybe he was out of scatterpacks and missiles.  So it was gonna be a Saber Dance versus his photons the rest of the way.  It was going to be nip and tuck, but I think I had a small advantage.  Unfortunately, Kroma had to go get his son, so he was forced to leave.  A shame, it was going to be a classic battle.

Same thing happened with Green.  We had killed each others fighters and we were either low or out of missiles, and he had to leave after 40 minutes of tense battle.

Mayve I'll see you guys in GW 5, if I can get away, and get my stuff together for a Plasma Ballet!

yes it was, damn 6 year olds and their birthday parties. I had completely wasted my drones and fighters though, as bad as I am at getting photons in arc you probably would have killed me. Guess I could have castled, but time was short and I wasn't sure how you were on drones/shuttles. gg.

Killing FSs Imperial Standard with Bearslayer was a blast, as was Doomstone with Green. The mission with Paladin, where it was me in a NCF and him in the DVL vs the C8V, D5D, and DWL (?) was a fun one, even though we were eventually forced off the map.

Also, every single mission in which I lost a CB was a blast.

Forcing WS to disengage his D5D from my NCF was a small moral victory, as I didn't fall for his baiting to come slug it out. ;-)

Ahem...you ran me off once with your Thoilian BCP when I was in a DWL, and just barely... 8)
After that I captured you when you first logged on as Fed, That was a nifty starting position wasn't it?
Killed 3 other pilots that way after seeing them griping in general chat about where they started.
You were the only one I took time to capture.
Then I killed you again later and after that you seemd to avoid me... :P

Anyway my favorites in no particular order:

-Myself (NCV) and Bearslayer (CB) taking down Firesoul's Condor-V (any mission in which FS dies is an automatic favorite  ;D)

-Heavy war destroyer battle with Pardek. Classic!

-The last battle of the server - Myself (CVA) J'inn (HDWC) and Komodo (CLC) vs Firehawk (KCRF) and Dizzy (KRCS). (Komodo was not on TS BTW, that's why he ran off and got pwnt!)

All were fun, in one way or another.  Getting TacoBell's DN with Bonk and drb, KYTARH's C8VK with Jem, and Doomstone's C8VK with Kroma turned out to be the most important.

But the most enjoyable ones were when I actually had a chance to text chat and just enjoy the game.  Losing (ran) to Mazeppa was enjoyable since I liked the conversation.  And  1+40 "battle" with Dizzy that evolved into a rather enjoyable discussion on tactics with Dizzy providing me with a couple of new points of the game to add.  Very enjoyable Dizzy, and thanks.  I appreciate it.

Hm, my favorite was actually a 3v2 with Krueg on my wing vs Kroma, TobinDax, and one other I can't remember, sorry. I was still in the FDW. Me and LK got seperated (my fault as usual) when I drove to press our initial attack from the rear and he didn't. Long story short, LK got run off the map and I didn't even know - I thought he had got blown up until I came out of the mission. I stayed long enough to get (more) internals on all 3 enemy ships, including over 50 thru Tobin's front shields with just my rear-firing phasers while he chased me just barely outside of tractor range. When his CB finally veered off and I came about expecting more fun, they triangulated me into the redline. That was my cue to exit...

Another one was when I got drafted solo vs 2 pilots in my FDW. Again I stayed in the battle and did internals to both ships before exiting. Much fun.

I should've just kept my mouth shut and killed you. ;) I think that may have been the second longest mission at 1hr 40mins that I remember having played. It is the ONLY mission where both my opponent and myself spent so much time and netted less than a combined 50 internals.

Favourites...
The 4 or 5 that I failed HETS in (federation engineering )
The one that I managed to HET and killed EE.
The one where I was escorting DH against (Pardeks?) big shiny ship of doom and DH told me that PArdek would dump all that nsaty plasma at him.
The one against Dizzy was cool, not because I won (I outshiipped him by quite a bit)
But just because I killed him.

and i do believe my statement to that was...dont kid yourself ur #2 shield was black...not my fault you couldnt think to corner me off the map as i have to do to many alliance folk who run at 31...oh thats right you had to drop to a speed 15 after you fired 90% of the time...get some pointers from DH...he's good at chasing me off in his big dn...and you had how many fighters?

Since you insist on beating a dead horse:

* ALL of my shields were at full. The only ints you got on me was when I dropped a mine.
* I had 8 fighters left. I don't see how that's even remotely relevent to you insisting on running around at range 30+.
* As soon as I sped up to 25 you went up to 31.  ::) Again, not relevent. My front was facing you almost the whole time, and you were not even committing enough offense to get through my reinforcement.

So, not only do you disrespect me by refusing to follow the rules, you insult my intelligence afterwards. Par for the course Dib.

Should I send you the film?

Sabre dancing is a legitimate tactic. Tying up a dread by running around the map is not.

dude u castled very well...only becoming offensive when i didnt play into getting close...which i paid for more than once as i didnt drop below 31 very often...and my fighters only killed one squad before dying which is why i wasnt getting close...especially when i knew you were pumping alot of reinf castling...and had the ability to fire more than 14+ photons at one time in my direction with the launch of ur fighters...you'd be happy if id just commit suicide...sorry man...but not for you...it was all i could do to keep reinforce to withstand the beating u did to my rear as it was...i had no choice but to use what little i could and do my best to do more than i didnt...gg...i bet hexx is gratefull i did stick around and use up all my supplies on you...

I like to think myself as a quiet it and reasonable person. I never get involve in a dispute over a match. Until now. We play 3 matches. U was never even close to beat me. The first, I was wining ( i didnt check the report screen, so I dont know the internals in both ships ),  then, we lost the conection ( Im on dial up ), but im remember U asking me for a rematch. The second game was over an hour, I did 233 internals on u vs 92; U barely made it to the border, with only 3 or 4 phasers left, 12-20 % hull and, Im sure, a pray for the border to get closer; Me, in the other hand, with a few scratches ( not for ur weapons, but for 3 or 4 T-bombs on my front shield ( wich, I remember, I even say to u, nicely done ). The third match wa about 30 min., 136 internals on u vs 36 on me. U ran the whole match until i got u in a corner; U ate an alpha strike at range 6-7, as soon as u got hurt, u turn ur nose to the closer border. U was never even close to beat me.

I dont have the films to prove it. I dont need them, and you, im sure, dont even want to watch them.

In the surrealistic situation that you need one more chance to prove your skill vs me, Im at your service. Just say the time and place.

Take care.

p.s. I do respect the rule, If I dont think I have the chance to win, im not going to make the other guy loose his time. If Im 2 v 1, I also leave.

p.s.s. Im not afraid by drones. I beat one if not the best droner Captain of the Klingons (KBF-WarSear). You should  do yourself a favor and learn just a little part of the class and honor He have.

azteca u too castle very well...the first game you did not...stop by my room in gsa anytime you happen to be there and see me...id be glad to put you in your coffin and send you back to whatever fred planet you came from...as a matter of fact...i do watch the movies...all 3 were gg's...and if you think i was worried about you tractoring me while pushing me in the same direction as i was goin....youve got to be kidding yourself...LMAO is what i was doin...had you stopped or pulled a het to pull me in the other direction...then i might have prayed and met my maker...

#1  Killing LeRoy's DNL in my KRCS.  Shouldn't be possible.
#2  Fighting DieHards CVA+ in my NHK.  Game came down to the wire, got him to use every consumable, and kiled 3 of his 4 squads.  Wound up getting towed.
#3  Tracey's DNG vs my NHK.  Drove her off the map in an hout and 20 minute mission.  Also goes as one of the most frustrating missions ever, since she never gave me a chance to finish it.  Just like a pretty women to flaunt it, but declare she was satisfied, without letting me finish.
#4  Chuut telling me I had him outnumbered, 1 to 1.
#5  DH in DNh Kroma in BCFF, vs my lil KDP.  No one died, but I'm sure kroma won't be telling his DNH ally to let him 1v1 again.   ;D
#6  Every patrol and Base Assault with Firesoul's KDP on my wing.  THOSE were a blast.  Probably could sell tickets to films of them on Romulus.  When AI have lost all their shields, have stopped due to a ww, have 2 NSM laid on their hulls, waiting to go off, with 8 PF circling, the AI really needs to have a surrender option.
#7  Killing Hexx with a nuke.  Should be worth VCs to actually blow someone's ship up with a nuke, even if it is Hexx.
#8  Hero AI! "Hey, Firesoul, let's let that SPM go in ahead of us into the 2 carriers"  one minute later, all fighters were dead to either the AI's D torps, or from blowing upon the last squad.  That guy deserves a Name.   And an AI SUB's fighters killed a base station before my live wingman and I were done with the defenders.
#9  Vs Kroma and LeRoy.  KDP vs BCV CBF.  "come on Kroma, you know you want me to kill LeRoy"  "That's not the point".  lol

In all honesty I would say my Favorite battle was with WarSears.  I believe he was in a K-DWD or a D5D. I was in a F-NEC. It was back and forth across the map trading drone waves and phaser shots. At the end we had Gutted each other, but WarSears had a bit more power to move away and take me out with a mini drone wave.
