Hi!

Is there a way 2 disable the shieldbars around the ships? I know that F9 disables the whole HUD (target-name, -speed, -range,... and the shield bars) but i just want 2 disable the shieldbars, nothing else. Is there a way? Which file i have 2 edit? Please, can anyone help me?

I know... but "too" is also a word... and my English is not that good. I don't know the difference.

"too" = "also"

"to" = your "2"

Okay, SFC3, good -- so do you mean the shield rings around the ship you are actually playing? If so I'm interested in that as well -- and will look into it.

Let me do some Checking. I believe there is a way to disable the Rings, But I can't remember off the top of my head.

I believe that the shield rings com from a bitmap. If you make that bitmap all black, I think that would work.

it's a texture file. Just edit the image and you can make the shield rings pink if you want em.. though god rest your soul if you do.

BUT, it disables the rings around the mines too. So I've put the old texture back in.

Now, wait a tick. The one I have doesn't disable the mines. I dunno what ya did, but it wasn't good.. lmao

That texture file also has the explosion textures, so if you blacked the file out completely, you wouldn't have the explosion after you make a kill. Personally that's my favorite part of a kill. I don't know if anyone ever noticed (I did just because the littlest things annoy me) but when you have a big explosion, you can see the outline of the texture. That's because the colour on the background was just one or two shades off true black. I got mine edited to where that outline doesn't show up anymore, and it look so much better too.

News:
