They're less than tender?   All bone and gristle.  Not good eating.  But hey, there are plenty of other more tender races.

They're humorless?   <sigh>  Sad but true.  But that's not it.

Allow me to explain.   A little while ago my BCF went boom.  So the game gave me a Fed Specialty Ship as a replacement.  I had about 15 spare minutes so I thought I would log on and order a proper ship so it would be ready tonight.

So there I am with a CLC on order.  But I see I'm on the front.  So . . .  I move a good three hexes behind the lines and bounce back and forth waiting for my ship.

AND THEN!!!


DRAFTED!!!!!

By Doomstone and Trajan!!   THEY DID IT ON PURPOSE!!!   So I'm in a Fed Rone boat,  WITH SLOW DRONES, since I never outfitted it.  And I die.

Yup had plenty of fun getting killed by MadElf, but served my purpose as we held that base.  Well worth the sacrifice.  I was so happy that he decided to do it alone as that bought the extra time my teammates needed.  Can you say "pyrrhic victory"?  was snickering the whole time I was being blown up.

Nonetheless, I will be very happy to have Madelf and hopefully his trusted sidekick "Pinky" along for a server as Kzin.  Likely you two can show us a few new tricks with our ships.  Always a pleasure to have a new outlook on tactics.

Well as the base was Neutral at the time I'd sy you were taking it 

Understand about the 1 v 1 and that is definately an accurate statement, I don't think my ship had much chance in that matchup against a skilled pilot, much less an elite one.  Yes honor to your wingmen, they were nice enough to stay out although it made targeting your pfs a nightmare....grrrr.....

As for it taking longer I think you are mistaken as when you called for them to back off I was pretty much pinned.  I figure it added at least 5 min to the mission.
