Topic: Thu11s Old Lyrans?

Hey all, after reinstalling my game I've discovered to my horror that the previous versions of
Thu11s Lyran & LDR ships has been replaced on feralyards by the new ones.
Anyone have copies of the previous ships? (specifically the destroyer & x destroyer I think it was)

you know, I've never ubnderstood the sfc   community's obsession with old ships. People make dazaling new replacements, such as khlaibans connie and thulls new lyrans and people go back to the old crap. You people are nuts.

Variety, they say, is the spice of life.  Embrace it.

Lyrans are not the same as the Federation.  You could hypothetically have a contest and settle who made the best model of any given Federation ship by popular vote.  You would never achieve agreement, but possibly concensus.

Lyrans do not have much in the way of reference material to define "the best model".  It becomes more of what you like rather than does the ship look like it does in the movies or TV. 

Besides, I personally prefer Thu11s old Lyrans to the new ones by far.  It's not a matter of better or worse modelling technology or poly count.  Its merely a matter of style.

Absolutely agree with Indigo
All of thu11's models are great (imho) And his new ones are (I believe)
very canon for SFB, problem is, I'm not a huge fan of SFB ships.
I'm using some of the "new" Lyrans for the bigger stuff, but I muchly prefer the old one's for the
DD's etc.
