i have view to episode of tos "the doomsday machine" and i have check both model made by atra and Lord Schtupp and there not accurate, atra is good with the piece of the saucer missing and Lord Schtupp is good with where the damage are on the saucer but its not at the right place, so both should revise there model to make is more accurate.

Thought Athorhaven made one as well, you might want to check with him.

Nobodys  model is "truly accurate". however they are the best the modeller could do with whatever they had to work with at the time. I never claim that any of my works are 100% accurate, but as accurate as i can get with whatever reference i have. 9 of 10 times i wind up rebuilding, or starting over from scratch to see if i can do better. There is no such thing as a "Perfect" model. Especially one thats low poly (6k and under)

The ultimate reference for the wreck constellation is an old AMT plastic model, because that is what they used as the studio model for filming. They didnt want to tear up the 11 ft connie studio model for that ep, and the 3 footer was missing. they used a 3rd tiny model (6" IIRC) for the big e being tractored into the maw scene.

I can never resist the urge to be smartass, apologies to you Don Karnage. Your quite right of course, the mesh and damage could stand to  be more accurate but its pretty close. I think if the burn streaks on the top hull where added then it would look closer to what your expecting.

BTW you had guts to call these models on their accuracy in the best way possible and I respect that ... +1 karma

I kind of think in one way that it's a compliment when people don't know that it's me that kitbashed something together out of Lord Schtupp's work and just assume that it was Lord Schtupp... (and then wonder why noone reads credit files anymore).  Then a little attention-grabbing demon part of me jumps up on top of a pebble and starts yelling (in a squeaky voice): "MINE MINE MINE MINE!!!"

It's usually grabbed in a big scuffle and tossed into a pillow-case in a corner somewhere.. but there's always this little part of me that wishes people'd see my stuff and go,"Hey, I can tell.. that's Atheorhaven's work.. he always does this goofy little thing with X that just drives me buggy.." ;)

I've now done a good number of ships based on Lord Schtupp's work.. most of which is now in Generations At War.  But I still love this one.. the wrecked Constellation was one of my first using Lord Schtupp's ships as a base.  ;)  Took me quite a while matching things up with inshow shots for angles on the pylons and the saucer (which is also a bit bent).  I didn't do that much streaking on the hull, mainly because I reasoned that with space a vacuum and all.. but I guess it could've stood a little more than it did.  :)

One nice thing about this ship though... it's available for all versions of SFC, and you can't beat that.  :D
..ooOOoo..totally useless information..ooOOoo..

It's old but here's the Wrecked Ent refit
http://members.fortunecity.com/sfcspacedock/newfedcawreckskins.zip
And I think WZ did one as well ?

But to add to the list............
Ent B from Generations after the encounter with the energy ribbon.
Ent D after it's battle with the BOP prior to blowing up.
Excelsior in ST VI after its battle with the BOP
Enterprise makeshift repairs after battle with Reliant ST III.
All the damaged ships from WOLF 359
All the damaged ships from the Dominion wars.
Voyager from " Year in hell"
IMHO it would be cool to have a "wrecked fleet of ships"

not bad but for started the ship should not be that dark (i have the pistur of the model) and two the damage are not all acurate and the part expose should be black.  ;)

I have the pictures of the ship too - I do know a thing or two about references  ;)

The lit parts are lit because this is how the ship looked the moment it exploded. It's also that dark because this is how the ship looked on screen, not how it appeared behind-the-scenes without any special effects. If you don't want it lit, then replace the texture with a dark one.

I never said it was 100% accurate and there will never be one that is because nobody would waste hours upon hours over a ship that is hardly seen or used. This is even more true for a game model where you can only put so much detail into it.
