FLASHTREK!

This is a cool flash animated game, based on Next Gen, were you start off with a starbase and a few resources and build ships and phaser pltaforms to shoot down the growing hoard of enemy ships heading your way. You get extra resources for killing the enemy but keep building or the Borg will over run you when they make an appearance later on.

I clicked on it but all i got was a back ground. No writing, graphics or anything.

 Do you know what I'm doing wrong? :(

Arrrgh, damn. I think Newgrounds is having problems with their site right now. Ah well, will prolly be fixed within a day.  :'(

I tried it out.  Interesting game, I figured out how to build ships, but if I started without a station and harvesting items, how would I build it, if I wanted to try it on hard?

OK, I can see why they call this Hard. You get resources when you blow up an enemy ship which you can use to build the ship yards. To blow up the enemy you can use the starbases own phasers, you use your mouse pointer to paint a crosshair on them and click to kill.

After the first level you can upgrade to faster phasers but at some stage I guess you'll have to decide when your going to buy that ship yard before the enemy onslaught sets in. The refinary just doubles the amount of resources you get when you get a kill, although I think a bug stops you from buying it.  :-\
