A license plate mount, eh?  I wonder what kind of license plate you slap on one of these...

Trebuchet for Sale.

MONSTER MASH utilizes 1200 # of custom lead weights mounted on a beefy design of 1" rods welded to plate. The main throwing arm is 16' long, consisting of two 1" laminated pieces of hickory wood, and pivots on a 4" steel shaft mounted in extra heavy duty pillow block bearings.

We've added alignment capability to optimize getting a good smooth swing thru it's whole range of motion.
The hitch pin has a rotating design so the hurler can experiment with different combinations of throwing angle and sling lengths.
The Sling harness is nylon and custom made by Amish harness maker and practically bullet proof!
The whole machine is made of 8"x8" treated lumber with single point pivot so that the frame is flexible.
The front of machine has removable wheels for trailering so that the whole machine is on 4 wheels while hurling and provides for maximum conversion of inertia into the object being hurled.
Monster Mash comes with several different options for release mechanisms and is built onto it's own trailer and has 3000 # new rear axle with brake accessory capability.

She has new lighting system for safe trailering and also has a license tag mount.

Best throw so far is over 600 feet with 8-10 pound pumpkin.
This is a world class competition machine!

Price is $4,000 or best offer.
We are located 30 miles east of Cleveland Ohio and very easy to get to from I-90.
Buyer would have to make arrangements to pick it up, but owner will consider delivering it if within a 60 mile radius of Cleveland.

We have been told that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare.  Now, thanks to the internet, we know this is not true.

I remember an article in Scientific American a few years ago about the trebuchet...seems the first time the Spanish used one in conquering a city in S. America, they threw the rock straight up in the air and it crushed thier machine....gott work out those kinks.
