you know i would never would have seen the resemblance untill you pointed it out but yeah it does look like a cross between the two the odd thing is that i designed it about 15 years ago i have a few more similar to it somewhere on paper. The model itself i think is around 6000 polys but that can be lowered drasticly by someone with patience all the pieces are still in the raw complete form no cutting and welding has been done on it if some one is interested in doing that and textureing it i would gladly send it to them as i am working on several projects right now and dont really have time for it

@Wulf: They are looking for a replacement to the SFB fighter in a thread (cant think of which one) you might want to show them that.

@Tus: that looks really cool, mate. A bit less advanced than what i was looking for, thus far, but none the less...keep it up.

Major Racal: I have your version, and i think i might actually use it for something else...a prototype for the FTL drive.

In other news, im working on turrets. Unfortuneatly, i suck at details...please do chime in on advice or guidance.

Edit: If anyone is interested, i'll send this MAX or 3ds File to whoever wants it, and you can have a run at detailing it.

Starting to add some details where i can.

Now, my question for you guys...Are the turrets too big? bear in mind, the green section is going to be housing a small city (Albiet on 2 levels)

Hey Fury,

Glad you can make some use of the model I made ya...  ;D

As for the turret details, they look fine to me at this stage.  At the moment, they would appear to be enormous mechanical assemblies, so  it all depends on how large you think they should be relative to the people on board.

I think she's coming on great!

That looks super cool... poly count must be of the roof...... must have taken you a while... have you added each detail individually or what?

See, mackie, its obvious your just subconsciencely expressing your desire to see if that statement is true or not  ;) ;) ;)

Thanks for the compliment, though.

Unfortuately i lost some of the work on it so the greebling is going to be done differently.

doubtful that you might want to know, imagine which would be scarier, me wanting or not wanting to see your... production unit  :P

and talking of greebles, can you control the amount of detail the plugin applies? if so you could propably create rather nice br0g cub0r!!!11122
