The alleged death of Markus L. Heinrik, former Executive Admiral Armor of the Eleventh Fleet aka the Spartan Vanguard, has notably drawn wide-spread community attention here in the Star Trek community. This has been a trying period for the Eleventh Fleet and those who knew Armor intimately. We had been under the impression that he had been deployed to Iraq, that he was serving his country, and then was reportedly dead from a source that we took at their word.
This current situation stems from a long-term string of misconceptions or false statements made on behalf of, or perpetrated by the individual known to us, as Markus L. Heinrik, a man whom I, myself, knew under that alias for atleast two years. The individual in question had been with the Eleventh Fleet, Spartan Vanguard, in excess of four years.
We have now conducted at this point in time, a preliminary investigation regarding this circumstances. At this point in time, we have confirmed that no one by the name of Markus L. Heinrik has, or is currently serving active duty anywhere in the United States or abroad. Furthermore, we have not even been able to confirm the existence of a Markus L. Heinrik living in the state of New York, or anywhere else in the United States. We have thus concluded Markus L. Heinrik was not the individual's true name from what we have been able to gather.
We have contacted officials with the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense, while investigating this matter, and they have already begun investigating the matter. We expect to hear back from those contacts within the week. Through these contacts we confirmed, that no record of a Markus L. Heinrik exists of a Markus L. Heinrik ever serving this country. Nor was any individual by that name killed in the line of duty in Iraq. I might also add, the contacts at the afore mentioned agencies, have made clear to us, that this is a Federal Offense, and that it will be dealt with severely. The Command Staff of the Eleventh Fleet will cooperate with any investigation into the matter, undertaken by those agencies.
There have been those in the community that have already tried to paint this as a 'Grand Conspiracy' or some Extraordinary Publicity Stunt, perpetrated by the Eleventh Fleet. For the record, it was no such thing. This was a heinous act that we believe was perpetrated by one, if not two of our Admirals. Individuals of long-stance within the Eleventh Fleet and whos word was their bond. We accepted that word, and were duped. Alleged documents confirming the alleged death of Markus Heinrik were provided by an Eleventh Fleet Admiral, who's intentions or motivations are still as of yet unknown. That individual will be questioned once we can contact him to do so.
An individual, claiming to be Armor's cousin and roommate was introduced to us shortly before he was supposedly deployed to Iraq, by Armor. His cousin was to keep us updated on any news pertaining to our Admiral and friend. He was the individual that informed us of the alleged death. Which, until false documents were provided to the Fleet, was not fully accepted and was under investigation to confirm the death, from yet another Eleventh Fleet Admiral. Evidence which we did not question, for which is the only fault I can see on our behalf throughout this affair.
That cousin, has continued to remain in contact with us, further inciting the situation and emotions revolving around this affair. We are now under the impression that this supposed 'cousin,' is in fact Armor. However, to date have not had the opportunity to call him out on it. He's been playing hide and seek.
Are we guilty of some grand conspiracy? I submit to you all, that we are not. We are guilty of being good friends to one another, who honor and respect one another and accept their word as their word. We honored the words of an individual who was providing us false information, in full good faith. The Eleventh Fleet and I apologize for our unwitting participation in this irritating affair. This has quickly turned into a nightmare for the Fleet, associated organizations, and the community. I would like to extend my sincerest apologies to the Pro.Clan of Armada II for the tensions which resulted from our interaction, and their questioning of the validty of the alleged death.
We are continuing our investigation into the matter and will update our findings as we get more information. We do not fully understand the full extent of the events that transpired leading to this affair, however we are committed to uncovering the facts. We thank you all for your patience and understanding in this affair.
Sincerely,
Fleet Admiral Selin Peers
Founder and Commanding Officer of the Eleventh Fleet of Starfleet, A.K.A. The Spartan Vanguard
