"Penny-ante?..........now we got our own heaters"

Ioation Syndicate Cruiser

Imitative and teaming with ingenuity,it didn't take long for the Ioations to

develop sub-space transmitters based on technology from Dr.Leonard McCoy's

communicator.Subsequent contacts with several space-faring races opened trade

that introduced even more advance technology to the Ioations allowing them to

advance in decades rather than centuries. Even with broader horizons they continue to

parallel Earth 's civilization.  As a result, the Ioation Planetary

Syndicate commissioned the IPS-Oxmyx...to boldly go and get a piece of the

action.

I was wondering when them twits would get out and cause trouble....
them being obsessed with mafioso, gangsters, etc., I wonder what their new-found space-faring capacity would do to the Orion Pirates in time? Competition? Just a thought... good work!!!

I think that they would wind up in 'cement overshoes'...

Great concept! Very original, QobnuH- enough like Enterprise to know where they got the tech from, but still different.

The gangsters from a TOS episode "piece of the action" i think it was.

PS: Terra, did you ever release that nice looking Soyuz on your site?

if you remember in the TOS episode "A Piece of the Action"(someone check for proper ep. title please) where Kirk, Bones, and Spock landed on Ioations planet to check due to contamination from a previous starship they copied the "mob" way of the 1920's.
Probably one the the best and funniest TOS eps ever next to the "Trouble with Tribbles" of course

Now that's a really neat idea! I'd forgotten about those guys. She's a neat design too?she looks familiar...and yet not. I'd love a copy, sir!

Woulda been neat to see a TNG followup to that great TOS episode...

The Syndicate Cartel always reminded me of a Mafia connection. I would love to see you do a whole line of these ships so that I could place them in that slot.Along with the Morgan Corporate State pirates I am now developing, and Orions and Korgoth.Hehehe one spot to fill.

I wish I could remember the name, but there was a TNG novel from the late '80s where Picard and crew encounter an unregistered Starfleet, built by the Iotians. They had extrapolated a full starship, uniforms, code of conduct, etc. all out of McCoy's lost tricorder. No more mafia mind you, but it was still cool... now if I could just remember what book...

Azel,
Awesome job. This is just the kind of thing I was shooting for. I was hoping people would be inspired to create more diverse universe for SFC with ships for alternate races. Unfortunately I lack the skill, knowledge and resources to produce anything other than a very simple model to bring my concepts to life. I've had to devote most of my time to preparing my home for winter in the northeast of late..not much time for SFC right now.
Thanks for keeping things going.
