OK with the (possible ) pending demise of KCW (again) I thought it would be interesting to do a civil war server based on one of the lesser played races. IMHO There are too many of you who have preconceived notions of what the Fed or Klingons are like/ what they should be like, or simply identify to strongly with the races.

Bonk has tentatively agreed to run a server for the Lyran Civil War if I design it, however I have heard a number of people don't like Lyran at all.
Given this I thought I'd put a poll up.
Now as many of you would realize, this would be a server that I have no real idea of a races background. Having said that, I can confirm that I would be more than happy to ask (or , well ,demand actually) input from people that know something about the race.
I can say that I have a big enough...ego that I would not be changing things once set to accomadate any group of people.
(Well other than me) and that I'm more than happy to screw all of you equally.
(Well maybe a little extra for whomsoever gets J'inn on their side)

I'd like to see KCW as well- the problems are though that (afaik) we're missing both house leaders of one house,
that we don't have anyone (atm) to technically run it, that there are already people who have walked away from it
and that any time it seems to get close to running time a couple of people show up and start saying that we "have to" or "should" change things.
Honestly I'd see the same problems for a server involving the Feds- which is why they're not on the poll.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! We've been waitin' fer over fer this and right when we're on the threshold the community just cops out!!! Somebody needs to suck in their gut, stiffen their upper lip, and git to work on this thing and have it up and runnin' by this weekend! Forget about the absent house leaders - replace 'em! Forget about the nay-sayers - tell 'em to shut up! We got the installer, we got the draft, we got the server kit, we got the rules, we got the server, now all we need is some GUMPTION!!!

I Voted Kzin. Hell were T-Bombing each other as it is on any server were on.

I would make one little rule. You start off in a Z-DD. If you happen to loose that ship. You are demoted to flying a Z-CL for the next two days

Hoi Folks,

Good thread Hexx. Working on the Lyran civil war sounds like a great idea. Eventually running a Civil War server for all the races would be cool.

I have been saying this for the last month to no avail. There is only so much "inertia" that you can take. KCW was given a lot of slack to get going, but at the end of the day there needs to be results. In addition, some people caught flak from your fleet for even trying to help out. You need to send this post to your SSCF admirals next time.

If you're referring to Day's post, that wasn't flak. He was simply stating that it was only polite to confer with Hooch before launching the server, which Bonk wholly agreed to.

A Roumlan civil war would be cool, and I understand DH is already working on it. (At least conceptually.) Kzinti would also fit the bill.

But I wan't to vote in your poll and I can't. I just can't seem to find that Klingon button.
