That's it. I'm out of KCW... way too much weird crap going on that I have no idea about. I do not want to be associated with this. I have better work to do at D.net.

The current KCW installer (with single player campaigns) will remain posted and I'll pack up the current serverkit, missions and gfs as an installer if anyone wants to take up with the server where I left off.

I don't care so much about the thread being moved, just the straw that broke the camel's back for me. Like I said, too much weird stuff going on in the background that I know nothing about and have no control over. I'm washing this off before the stains are permanent. Sorry, but its a selfish PR decision on my part.

With it's "on again" "off again" nature, and some people (imho) taking it far to seriously KCW has been one of
the more troubled servers I've heard of.
What we should do is try a "Civil War" server with one of the lesser populated races.
ISC (I think) would be fun
Lyran would of course be cool (and as a bonus give the entire OP player base the chance to humilate me at my own race)
To me , Gorn ,Rom and Kzin would be of less interest, but only as I dislike plasma and the Kzin interface.
(And who knows- maybe I'd develop an appreciation of them, I could see myself as a Gorn...)

I think a civil war series of servers would be fun to try, just maybe stay away from the big two, as to many people (again only imho) have preconceived notions of what they should be like.
If anyone can handle the technical stuff, I'd be more than happy to try and set up some rules and background.
(And given that I generally loathe the lot of you I can hardly be accused of bias     )

If you'd like to design the Lyran civil war using SFB-OP, I'd be more than happy to run it.  (we can move the LDR to an Empire slot) An old SFB friend of mine in Halifax once promised to design such a server for me using the mod <cough>, haven't seen it yet... Perhaps if we start working on it he might lend a hand.   (hmmm maybe we could have the LDR and Lyrans on both layers! hmmm...)

You're bang on about the "far too seriously" part, it is just a game, it is supposed to be fun!
