Nail added, Maxillus shifted to Kinshaya adjust. Further additions will just be tacked onto the bottom of the lists as they come in. Yup, alphabetical made it nice and simple and unbiased.

I did not get it from anywhere, never saw the original, I just alphabetically assigned the teams, no trades. As promised earlier I produced an arbitrary "draft" in the abscence of an "official" one. (post  above adjusted) Thanks for posting the official draft! So are we set to go?

Re VCs: lets take the same approach as I have for SFB-OP to confirm PvP kills. Once the main server thread is started, if you are the victor of a PvP match, post the kill, quoting the destroyed ships record and attach a screenshot with the KCW- prefix, or preferably, post a film (under "Film_Room/General" in the D.net film library with the KCW- prefix) or screenshot under "Images/OP Screenshots" in the D.net library with the KCW- prefix in the filename and link the film/screenshot in the post. (like so...) This way we have a nice record of the server here, easy kill confirmation and it will help fill the library with neat stuff! What do you think?

Seen them all, but nowhere there do I see Hooch telling us when he planned to launch his server. Nor did I see anything in the dev forum saying as much.

Aware of what? That Hooch is backing out? That this is to be how the KCW is now run? Am I missing something? Is this just supposed to be a shakeout or is it the real run of KCW? The rules still had some fairly significant issues.

I have only been silent because no one has asked me anything. It was my understanding that this was still Hooch's baby, so I had been waiting like everyone else to hear what's up and when he intended to start.

There was a three way trade on the table awaiting Tracey/ShadowSixs approval, but they both dropped off the face of the earth, so it was never finalized. I figured that once Tracey and Hooch's RL issues got cleared up it would work itself out.

I'll put er on hold till we hear from Hooch. As much as I'd like to see KCW go forward, it was Hooch's idea and I think we should leave it
until he can run it or at least signs off on us running it.

In the mean time, as I think was mentioned- Bonks got a great server up, only thing it's missing is a backgorund story and some people.

Bonk, please don't take my comments above the wrong way, I appreciate all the effort you have put into KCW. You have been the driving factor for sure. And my questions above on rereading them myself, sounded a bit leading, but I didn't mean them to be. I was really wondering, as I thought maybe I missed something, and that maybe you had all been arranging the start without me ;-) I thought I had vaguely recalled Hooch saying he was going to wait until mid late Nov to start due to Tracey's schedule, but that could have been all my imagination.

Definitely, I already decided to put it off till we hear from the ol Hoochster. (see above) Let me know if you'd like me to put the test server up for more work/play...

Also, please note that I am not trying "take his work from him and do as you wish with it", if you really feel that way, I'll have nothing to do with it anymore. I'll only do the installer as requested (if still desired) and will stop missions testing and server configurations and map edits. I consulted the community at every step. What you suggest is the furthest from the truth. I put up SFB-OP on 12 hours notice just to prove that, and a number of people love it!

This is blanently incorrect. There is only 1 house leader not ready due to RL. The main issue has been no Hooch.

And Day take a breathe and read the whole thread before spouting off next time. While the server was Hooch's baby and I have stated that we should wait for word from him first myself, a lot of other people put time into it, and Bonk is without a doubt the one that did the most. So I can hardly fault him for stepping up and trying to keep it from dying for lack of leadership.

I'd rather not get into it with the sscf, as I happen to respect the fleet quite a bit despite my obvious dissagreements with several members, but I have to be crystal here... and that is to point out that KCW isnt Hooch's baby anymore. He doesnt need to be consulted or asked permission to run it. KCW is all grown up now and has been married and divorced several times and there isnt any 'white wedding' hopes anymore.

You see... In the interests of the community, Hooch is the kind of guy that would push community concerns over personal vanity. I'm surprised I know him better than you. Hooch would always want whats best for the community and frankly I think you should take a page from his book.

I'll stop right there and not get into your comparison of this to the OP list thing. So dont even go there again.

As far as KCW goes, it's either going to run or it isnt. But the longer KCW waits, the less interest everyone has in it. Oh, and btw, get off Bonks back. This guy has nice written all over him. I think you should tell him you're sorry. Bonk is a super helper round here and you have no idea how much personal time he invests for people like you and me so we can have fun. He hasnt ever stepped on anyones toes afaik and he'd be better off running his own servers than trying to help the SSCF with theirs, but hey, thats the nice kind of guy he is.

P.S.   My three cents worth.

1) Hooch ain't dead.  We know where he is.  Eveland.   Leroy can get a message to him easy.  Also, don't they use TS voice comms, can't one of us skip over there and ask him what is up.    This doesn't seem to be a big deal to me.

2)  Hooch should be asked if it is cool with him if Bonk runs it.   If he can't be found in a resonable amount of time then I think it's okay for Bonk to run it anyways.

3)  Tracey being missing is a larger problem,  but not really.  Wasn't some low down snake int he grass named Shadow Six <snicker> her second in command?  Can't he fill in until she retruns?  Ain't that what a second in command does?   Of course she'll have to bitch slap him to get her spot back.   Ooooo I wanna have film of that.

It's been almost 2 months since the draft and some people have posted wondering why it's so dead around here. I don't know about you. But from where I come from, it's common courtesy to inform others when something they have started is not going to be finished.  There was never a post from Hooch anywhere saying the KCW is cancelled. Just put on hold until some RL issue were sorted out. 

This was the last public KCW announcement from Hooch:

Overall, it looks like around October 22nd at the latest, perhaps the 15th if all the other factors can be cleaned up.

 Now, we find out Hooch is busy play EVE while the people in OP-land are trying to make-do and basically being really patient.  There was even a test server put up in Hooch absence to accomodate him while he was gone.  People that were in the draft have been waiting weeks for this server to get started. Other dyna people have been holding off on their dynas. just for KCW.

You try to tell me that there's nothing wrong with this picture and do it with a straight face. 

PS.  What's this dyna idea called KCW?  Dunno, never heard of it...

PPS. I play SWG every night practically and still find time to post here. Sometimes I play SWG while on TS with SFCers. So, it is possible to play other games, even ones where you pay to mine rocks *snicker*, and still drop a post in this forum to keep everyone up-to-date on stuff left hanging. For me, it's the EEK mission packs. So, it can be done.

1) Hooch ain't dead. We know where he is. Eveland. Leroy can get a message to him easy. Also, don't they use TS voice comms, can't one of us skip over there and ask him what is up. This doesn't seem to be a big deal to me.

2) Hooch should be asked if it is cool with him if Bonk runs it. If he can't be found in a resonable amount of time then I think it's okay for Bonk to run it anyways.

3) Tracey being missing is a larger problem, but not really. Wasn't some low down snake int he grass named Shadow Six her second in command? Can't he fill in until she retruns? Ain't that what a second in command does? Of course she'll have to bitch slap him to get her spot back. Ooooo I wanna have film of that.

Plus I'm the admin and I know what is going on in my forums.  How many amoung you have come on to TS and tried to ask for Hooch or asked the SSCF if they know were Hooch is. Who amoung you have even asked any one other then LeRoy as to what is going on with the SSCF ro Hooch? LeRoy is not the only inforation point for the SSCF or Hooch.

While I understand this is a serious thing to most, I'd humbly suggest that the way to resolve ANYTHING is NOT by being passive-agressive, nor suggesting something then disappearing back into EVE-Land, how convienent.

FACTS:

Hooch is a very respected member of the SFC Community.

Hooch worked very hard on bringing KCW to life - the concept alone was awesome.

Hooch then found EVE whilst playing with the Fleet.

Hooch and TraceyG have been absent regarding community interaction for quite some time (in regards to their normal levels, mind you!)

Bonk stepped up - and I am saying this of my own opinion - in reverence to the concept and work Hooch DID and the expectation of those in our community who had looked forward to this campaign.

IM's and posts were made HERE (which is the offical D2 forums for the community), but perhaps not enough "research" or effort was made to secure Hooch's blessing on this

The Community (well, Kroma, but he's big enough to be called a community - plus do you know what LIVES on LIZARDS  ) steps up ONCE AGAIN and says "Wait a minute....what about Hooch and TraceyG ?"

It's determined that - YES, Hooch is alive and he's having a GREAT TIME on EVE. (Notice this also says "He's not had the time to drop anyone an IM or an EMAIL or anything else, so Mike you might want to think about THAT first before telling people anything)

Both sides were basically trying to do the same thing :

It's Hooch's responsiblity to goto the D.net/SFC.net forums and tell us what's going on. It was his idea to have a KCW dyna and the idea was accepted by the community. It is not the community's responsibility to be his keeper and go find him when he up and disappears.

It's quite simple really. It's all about respect and showing it.  You bring up the dyna idea and then abandon it then it's up to you to take OWNERSHIP of the problem and 'fess up to all that you are abandoning the dyna. No one around here is a mind reader and no one certainly should be "forced" to go find you and ask about you dyna.  It this matter SSCF falls very short on the respect front.

All it would take is a 4 to 6 word post in this forum like:

"Me like EVE. Me no do KCW."

Expecting people to go hunt down Hooch after his disappearance smacks of arrogance.  No one should have to go that far just find out on what the state of his dyna idea is.  Same goes for the missing house leaders.

Suffice it to say. I don't ever want to be involved with a SSCF-sponsored or associated idea in both OP and/or SFC3 again. This experience has been simply terrible and deplorable.  It you are using EEK missions that are buggy. Don't bother asking for any fixes. Gee, that aint being very respectfull is is it?  Good. But if there is one thing I know about Hooch is that he is so polite and inoffensive, that he may just take his anger and frustrations with him to the grave...

Well, I was directed to read this thread and I guess I have missed a lot.

Hooch was aware of my study schedule, which is why KCW either hapenned earlier during my mid-semester break, or after my exams. When it became apparent that KCW was going to take a few more weeks to get ready, Hooch put the whole thing off till mid/late November as Kroma states. This did not mean development couldn't continue though.

I gave Hooch a copy of my schedule (including when assignments were due etc.) so he would know when I was going to be around. My last exam is on the 11th November. I have deliberately kepot away from the forums the last few weeks as I have had huge amounts of work to do (I wrote in total 6000 words in assignments last week). Anyway, my appreciation goes to all those who tried to keep things alive, particular to Bonk for his efforts.

I'm sure things will be sorted out after GW4, and we'll have KCW up and running well before Christmas (this Christmas, lol).
