Really cool, even though it's not a real lawnmower.

Kudos to the AeroEng that made that sucker fly!

A hot summer day, a few cold beers, a few more beers; next thing you know lawnmowers are flying. ;D

My question is that real...It seems from some of the shots that it might be computer generated or have Special Effects that enable it to appear to be flying?  It could be real...but blame my suspicious manner...how do we know it's not fake?

Well, Dash, take a look at it- it's not a real lawnmower... the engine is hollow and te body is shaped like a wing when you look at it hard and know what to look for.

Why would someone want to fake a fake lawnmower flying?

LOL... only option I could come up with Ice.

You are the future airdale amongst us IIRC... any 'professional opinions?'

Could it be done realistically?

It looks to have a small prop on the front. The control surfaces are located at the rear of the assembly...judging from the quick takeoff I wonder if they used some sort of model-rocket engine to assist the takeoff.

Additionally, I'm willing to bet this isn't a real lawnmower -- most likley a balsa wood model painted to look like one.

That's it, Pun.

Like I said, it's not a real lawnmower.. it's a lifting body made to LOOK like a lawnmower.

Hell if your going to buy a remote control plane, why not one that looks like a lawnmower?

The music on pumishers link adds a bunch. LOL. Thanks punisher.
