firefox help

i was wondering if anyone know about firefox bookmark, i have read that there is a backup of the bookmark, i have check but there no help in the forum of firefox and no one to contact for help, what i need is to get access to my backup of my bookmark, compare to i.e. its not save on the file, so i don't know where the bookmark are store and how do i get access to them.

What exctly are you trying to do here?

There is an extension called Bookmark Backup that will save a copy of your bookmarks when ever you close the browser. You can set it to be saved in the same folder as the program or another one of your choice. Oh, it also saves afile for each day of the week so you can go back and restore a previous version.

Well, I wish I knew. I can't find it at the extensions page anymore and I can't find the file on my pc either. Sorry.

i was told to type that: %AppData% and all the stuff i need to where in that file but i don't know what m supose to do with that?.

there a file call bookmark.bak but i don't know what m supose to do with that, there no instruction on how to restore the bookmark?.

You might try it this way. Open the bookmark manager and choose the "file" dropdown. Choose import and choose file. Then just find the file you just found, the bookmark.bak file. Hopeully, it will retore the bookmarks you had in that file.

its working, but i don't call that a back up since its what i have on i.e., i taught it was a real back up of the bookmark i made with mozilla.

As to that, I have no idea. I just thought that the bookmark.bak was from your Firefox folder or something.

it is but its not what i was having, i will re install win on the other hd and see if the bookmark are ok or not, i will do it the old way so next time i will have a real backup.
