So i'm taking this management course, and we have to do a 5-8 page topic paper on something in management, so I decided to name my paper: Management and ethics: Never the Twain shall meet.
Bsically, it's about ethics in the purest sense and relating it to management. I've met many people who take ethics classes for business type degrees, but when you mentjion things like utilitarianism or names like Kant or Mills they always look at me like I'm on crack, which tells me they didn't study the same thing in ethics i did. Then I find out they learned no ethical theory, it's mostly conflict avoidance. I thought it was like studying classical music without learning about beethoven or mozart.
So I thought i'd write the paper explaning all the views of ethics, and a few names, and tie it in to modern day management and occurances.
Opinions please?
