I updated the mission pack twice today and have logged in on the current one - perhaps you have this morning's installer and not this afternoon's. I'll double check when I get home.

Works good, lasts a long time.  :)

So Bonk, when will you put SFB-OP up as a campaign w/ VCs et al?  It really is a nice list.

Rosinante on the Road

My KHS Rosinante Z-CC captured a fiendish Lyran named Likkerpig trying to raid our 'Nip fields in his CW+p

Likkerpoo the Klingon in his D5C fell to the KHS Rosinante Z-CC

He put up a valiant fight defending the klingon stardocks, but his ship was out of her class, although the pilot most certainly wasn't.

Wow, Chuut's been busy.  I saw drb got poor 'ol piggie last night too... hehe

Thanks Green. There are VC's and all.. (new terrain and PvP). I'm just waiting for a crowd to show up! We could schedule it as-is for anytime as a full server, like now?

Or do you mean more specific VCs (certain planets and hexes etc...and a storyline)? Maybe a different political setup? I am using close to the default political setup for SFB-OP,  maybe I should look at a clear-cut two sided war like I have on UAW?

(just did the OoB reboot early today, DNs, BBs, and bases will be available all day today - on the server and on the webmap shipyard - Happy Holidays!)

I'm going to update the mission pack one more time with Tracey's new mission (sorry for the many changes - my fault). Will happen shortly.

I'm looking at redoing the alliances too which will require a reset - best to do it early I figure. (If we do it I'll back up the db in case too many complain about the change and want to go back.)

Any thoughts on changing the alliances?

something like:

United Federation of Planets
Hydran Kingdom
Gorn Confederation
Kzinti Hegemony

Tholian Holdfast
Lyran Democratic Republic
Orion Cartel

vs

Klingon Empire
Romulan Star Empire
Lyran Star Empire
Interstellar Concordium

Andromedans
WYN Star Cluster
BeastRaiders Cartel

...as opposed to the current setup which is stock modified slightly so that the traditional alliances are in place. Changing it to a straight two-way war may help provide more consistent AI draws...

More specific VCs, for individual planets/bases.  A build-up of the server (on the forums) to allow players to select sides and strategies.  You could use the classic settings, since it is based on SFB.  But do believe you are right that a 2 sided campaign would work better.

It was a fun battle. I was in a Z-CC and Trajan was in a K-D5D. Trajan hurt me early in the match. So I started to fly around all the rocks and through the dust fields. In the end Trajan was watching my drone wave then went Boom.  VGG Trajan

BONK, when are you going to revise the SFB mod? If I may, perhaps Brezgonne's two Tholian folders could be consolidated into one folder and some of the Ultimate TOS models could be added to the Fleetdock13 ships in the next revision?

The Z-MEC KHS Cheese Grater took possession of Lord Saxons D5E.

He put up a helluva fight despite his ship being heavily outgunned, and it seems his skills are not rusty in the least.

I hope to do so in the next few months. I'll look at that. I'm noting other suggestions and bugs as we go on the server.
