Is there such a thing as overspecialization?

There are now many many off topic type forums.  It was one thing to say no political stuff, but now there is no talk of ST shows or movies in here, etc etc etc.
Seems like this forum has been going dead because all the topics are spread between several other forums.  Personally, I don't want to have to sift through multiple forums for topics to read.  ANyone else?

I agree. Political and Non. That's it. Perhaps if we get onto a particularly hot discusssion, perhaps we could temporairly create a new one. Say, everyones hyped up about a certain game release, there are threads left and right, well ok make a new forum for a couple weeks. That is all.

Phew, I was getting worried there with all the CK is a doo doo head votes.  Maybe Ishouldn't have included that option.  Glad to see the poll swinging in my favor, for the moment at least.

Merely joking about the doo doo head.  I think since one needs to be subscribed to see either Ten Forward or H&S perhaps it is a tad much...though if they would make the General SFC forum and Ten Forward Public (non subscribers could see it), I could see why at least two separate forums of Ten Forward and H&S exist.

I guess I'm the Odd man out. Personaly, I like being ablte to talk about the TV shows/Movies / Books that are star trek related, withought Going between Ten Forward, and the General forums. With the New Forum 'Holodeck" It puts It all in one place.

I like the viriaty of forums... it lets you know EXACTLY where to go to post something.

Same here. We had 5 people talking about the same things in different parts of the site, at the same time.
This is a good way to get all of the community together in one place, and get to know each other on common ground.
