A side note here Bonk.
I noticed that when flying in the north part of the map I consistently drew fred ai opponents. Was this intended? Yes, I see that big blue ribbon on the far north...
I was hitting the 23,4 area, looking at the webmap there is a House S'uhn'ih planet 3 hexes away, the nearest fred planet/base is 5 hexes away.
Not a big deal, killing freds is fun (plus they breed like cockaroaches anyway) but thought I'd bring it to your attention.

Kind of expected, shouldn't be a problem I think. Bases determine AI enemy draws and they are sparse on this map (already adjusted imperials).

Thanks for the input folks, I have prepared a selection of the finest missions available for your dyna pleasure.  ;D  And as luck would have it, the gods of mission matching should provide roughly what is reqested in the poll results!

Again, since there are no mandatory missions on this server I've left the maximum missions presented at 5 unless it proves a strain. I have pulled EEK Enemy Sweep and Planet Assault for now (still got the coop PP bug). Installer updated.

I marked it Tracy G plus stock.  Not because I wanted it limited to those, but well, damnit!  It's been a long time since I've seen the Tracey G missions used.  And they were kind of cool.  And since you've already tallied your score, I wanted my vote to stand out.   :P

I was gonna ask who's the wise guy that picked other and didn't specify, lol... (ack now there's two!) Yup, the TraceyG missions are coming up, they're fun... we just gotta go through the missions and pick out the ED missions still suffering from double fighters and the remaining EEK2.21 missions that don't give coop PP and do the traceyG missions suffer from the double fighter bug?  Having a mix of missions presented up to five at a time is pretty cool tho... make notes if possible when testing!

edit: confirmed double fighters in a TraceyG mission (v4-1), the missions are light otherwise, I can put up with it.. is there a newer set?

Go stock ...

The issues with Dave's and Tracey's missions (dbl ftr) is a negative, too bad because they are great missions.

Karnak's missions work great.  I have yet to see an error.  However they are too time consuming due to the number of AI/settings.  They will work great in most dynas, but in a dyna where all players have the same race ... why tweak the missions?

Since we are all the same race ... stick with stock for reliability and minimization of AI-time on the campaign.

No matter what missions are used, looking forward to KCW.

Well, the way I figure now, I have the installer, we're going tomorrow, I'll just pull all the badly bugged ones I find between now and tomorrow.

The important thing to note is there are no mandatories (check the KCW website) and up to five missions presented at once on this server and plenty of stock missions in the mix, so you can just pick those or whichever you like (I'm going to leave missionnames on too...)

note also that the unbugged Karnak cpatrol and mpatrol are yer basic one vs one patrol...

To be honest, If we get some word from the third house leader, we can have round 1 done in approx. 48 - 72 hours, and a second round done in less than a week, allowing for communication concerns, ie, the fact that said 3rd house leader is half a world away and down under... :D  If we can corner the 3 of us with some kind of draft administrator (J'inn) all in 1 shot for a morning or so, we probably could be ready after that visit...

Until then, the KCW I signed up to lead a house for is incomplete and not ready to run.  You are, of course, allowed to put up a server, however, it won't be the KCW I was expecting without the full draft etc.

Quite right Julin. When Hooch, and all house leaders are all set we can run it again, the way it was intended. In the mean time I think Bonk just wants a server up and running before people get tired of waiting for "The Next Server."
I know Bonk is not interested in hijacking Hooch's project, it is just we need a server and this one is ready to go.

Take care

And well worth the wait.

If I hadn't accidentally opened this thread tonight, when I was aiming my mouse at a different thread, I'd have no idea anyone was planning to launch KCW tomorrow..... <Looks at clock>  ....I mean, later today.  And since I didn't know, I wont be able to play for several days to a week.

Take a week to advertise the kickoff date so that people know to show up.  I understand your frustration trying to get this thing kicked off, and you have earned a great deal of respect by taking the reigns while Hooch is MIA.  But it is worth doing it right.    And please go with the draft list as it is now, plus pics form the second list that can be done this week.  Not much point in a civil war without a draft.

Thanks drb, you expressed my (and others) concerns and intentions well.

I see your point Scipio, and that is exactly why I hesitated to do this. Just there has been zero input from the house leaders and draft admin, not a word. (except Julin) The test server has been up for over a week and looks solid. (Though only a max of 6 players showed up to test at once).

I guess another poll is in order, lol, I'm glad we have that feature on the forums!

I also think we should wait for Hooch to get back, it was his idea and I think we should just jump to another server rather than do KCW without him.
Anymore been heard about GW4?
I've been trying to follow the forums, but with little being posted here and few people around for me to try and be a pain in the a** to, I haven't been paying as much attention to them as I should.
