Check the profiles.
Look at the "Show Posts" page.

Times the number of pages by 30 to give you a rough guide as to how many posts a user has made.

Why bother keeping a count if admins are going to just give themselves thousands of posts?

I just checked Blade's profile, he shows as making approx 320 posts, NOT 4704.

How about showing some respect to the people whom post here, and make him use his correct total?

A couple of things Strafer.

Nobodies post counts came across from the dbase import.

The extra post counts magically appeared around the date this thread was originally created.

MrCue has researched their true post counts and updated their figures.  He did that in response to some other dialog over in H & S so all is right with the world again.

Well as right as we can ever get.

Let me make something clear.

If you people are bitching over the fact that Blade and I modified our thread counts to represent the # of threads we had @ Taldren's old forums, then I'd suggest you get a freakin life.

I cannot believe the level of audacity some people aspire to.

I mean, I RUN THESE BOARDS FOR FREE and this is the thanks I get?

Quite frankly if it bothers you all so much that two of our valued 939 members who also happen to be a member of the team of numerous #'s of people who dedicate their own personal time to making these boards, servers, and websites run wanted to set their post counts to something then by all means utilize the complaint box.

It's out the door marked "Exit" and to the right.

Regards ungrateful ones.

Frey,

Remember this is one of those faceless media; judging from the thread starter's posts elsewhere on this very nice place you are providing and maintaining, it does appear it was posted in a rather jovial spirit.  He was joking, man.

Now that having been said, some very interesting bickering DOES appear on our boards here, stuff you'd turn red at if it happened in your house!  But it all is still relatively innocuous, again, as was, at least in my perception, the spirit of this thread.
